MILLER

"Sniper Rifle" is a card that derives from the episode where Frank Archer kidnaps Wrath. He and Armstrong use the Sniper Rifle to view Wrath, and they notice his Mark of the Ouroboros. While the Sniper Rifle isn't fired, you can still see why it would have the effect of being able to attack from home, as that is what sniper rifles are used for, far away fighting.
This "Sniper Rifle" at first seems very good, but its uses are fairly limited. Rebel can take advantage of this card since it boosts strength, and after they use it they can use "Utility Automotive" to be able to attack twice in a search phase. Some people even like the combo of "Utility Automotive", "Binoculars", and "Sniper Rifle" to attack someone at home, usually a Hakuro, Elysia Hughes, or Edward Elric Strategist, then come in the search party and beat up on those guys.
While this card seems advantageous in sealed, its probably not that great. It costs 9 to equip which usually requires some EE in that format. In sealed, its always best to keep as many cards as possible. If you pull it it could be useful, but most likely, in most cases, its not a great idea. In constructed, you can make decks that revolve around it, however, they aren't exactly on par with other current meta dominating decks, but it can be fun, just don't try serious tournaments with it just yet.

Sealed: 2.5/5-9 cost...too expensive for sealed.
Constructed: 3.5/5-The cost is easier to deal with here, with card draw.

Once per turn, this character can declare an attack from home as if he was in a search party.

Welcome to attachment week, where we review 3 new attachments from Alchemists' Gate. Unfortunately, I can't say a lot of great things about Sniper Rifle. The only useful purpose I see for this (mainly because of its cost) is to slap it on your best character so that even if he gets sent home, he's still getting an attack in. I hope they make a cheaper/weaker version of this card, so it has the versatility to be used with support characters you wouldn't normally assign.

I might be missing something here, but I just don't like it =(.

Once per turn, this character can declare an attack from home as though he were in a search party.

New attachment week begins with Sniper Rifle, one of the oddest weapons around.

This rifle, which Archer used in the show to note Wrath's Mark of the Ouroboros. In the card game, we get to attack from home. Very similar notions. Both are spying from far away.

But, is attacking from home such a good thing? First of all, this attachment is unique. And is a nine cost.
The characters you can put it on are limited to the big beaters who you would probably rather have for the goal, anyway. And being unique means that you can't do this more than once per turn, so you still have to assign, or off someone in the main phase, in order to get rid of someone to the graveyard.

If you have Stealth on the character in question, maybe it is useful, but, personally, I don't like the Sniper Rifle. Spear, Alchemic Gun, Maes' Throwing Knives, and Cleaver/Maul are so much better.

Sealed: 1.5/5: Ouch. You pull this you better be ready to EE, or have some luck getting a level 3 leader.
Constructed: 2.5/5: If you put a lot of planning into how this should work, it might be alright, but that is a lot more planning than there needs to be done to off someone. Keep this card safe in your binder.
