Hello. I am very intrigued about Duelmasters and I wish to get a start on it. For the past week, I have been here and there in the Pojo Forum, searching for what I would like to use (I haven't played magic before, but I am not bad in Yugioh). After a few researches on what monsters I like.....I found out that I really really like King Depthcon (its effects AND its art work). I was wondering if I can build a decent mono-blue deck, for I dont really like to use 2 color decks (or multi color decks)

I have made a prelminary draft of my mono water deck (look below).....can you please help me with it? If you really think that I cannot win without another color with this blue deck, then please advise me on what to combo with it and what staple cards for that color that I should include in my deck as well.

My deck:

Monsters: (24)
- 4x Marine Flower [1]
- 4x Hunter Fish [2]
- 1x Aqua Soldier [3] <----I dont really know about this...but it can return so at least u can turn it to mana after its usefulness has depreciated
- 4x Candy Drop [3]
- 4x Aqua Hulcus [3]
- 4x Faerie Child [4]
- 3x King Depthcon [7] <---- Hehe I really like this card......

Spells: (16)
- 4x Spiral Gate [2]
- 4x Brain Serum [4]
- 4x Crystal Memory [4]
- 4x Teleportation [5]

Now, this is cgman, and I'm going to put in my share of what you should do with your deck. Now, if you haven't read my article about how to balance your deck, then you need to in order to fully understand what I'm saying. It's entitled "Balancing Your Duel Masters Deck" from March. Now let's talk about your deck!

The only changes that I made were the creatures in your deck. I decided not to mess with the spells because there was only Virtual Tripwire left, and this deck can do without that.

Now, for Speed, there are three cards included that can seriously help early on or later when you have plenty of mana. The three cards are the 4 Marine Flower, the 4 Hunter Fish, and, the new arrival, 2 Aqua Knight. Aqua Knight costs two more mana to play, but gains an extra 3000 power from Aqua Soldier, yet has the exact same
effect! This is a much better tradeoff in my view because you already have several cards that can come out in the first three turns that are so much better than Aqua Soldier, so he had to drop. Next comes Strength and Strategy. Most of them are included under both categories, so I will do them simultaniously. Aqua Knight is there for strength because he refuses to die. That means you can use him again and again, or simply use him for mana later. I decided to keep three of the four Candy Drop and three of the Faerie Child as well. Why? Because, as I'm sure you know, you only need a total of 6 hits to your opponent and you win! I'm sure that you'll be able to hit shields at other times with other creatures, but now you can win either way! Also, I dropped the Aqua Hulcus because you had enough draw and search power to cover your deck. That's were the space came for the Aqua Knights and the Revolver Fish, two of each. Revolver Fish can be useful because he is a very powerful Water Blocker, and with an added bonus of having 1000 more power than what you're paying for, he is very powerful in my eyes, and I decided to add them in for stronger blockers. I left all 3 King Depthcon because he is the major strength for your deck. He also has double breaker, which is very useful in this particular deck which cannot attack quickly. However, you will notice 3 extra spaces left empty. These were all replaced with Aqua Sniper, to keep with water's theme of returning creatures. This will play a major part in your strategy as you create a "lock" on your opponent's creatures and mana by forcing them to replay the same cards. Just remember to return at least one of these to your hand, or the fun is all over! Sooooo... the final deck list looks like this!

Creatures(24):

4 Marine Flower

4 Hunter Fish

3 Candy Drop

3 Faerie Child

2 Aqua Knight

2 Revolver Fish

2 Aqua Knight

2 Revolver Fish

3 King Depthcon

3 Aqua Sniper

Spells(16):

4 Spiral Gate

4 Brain Serum

4 Crystal Memory

4 Teleportation
