Today i will focus on a deck based on the play between blazosaur and smash horn Q *begins the article* So my little brother's Dmax pack came today, (still waiting on mine >_<) and after I got done building the model and watching steven kings IT, I took a look at the new cards from survivors. I was seriously impressed. Remember how red used to be considered the "throw away civ" (no offense to anyone who plays it, it had some inovative decks, just many people considered it the least useful)? Those days are over. Red has less of a one track mind thanks to cyclone panic, and some amazing potential due to blazosaur Q paired with smash horn Q (effects below). Cyclone Panic Red, 3 drop spell. Shield trigger (insert standard trigger text here) Each player counts the cards in his hand, shuffles those cards into his deck, and draws that many cards. Blazosaur Q Red, 2 drop creature. Survivor (Insert standard survivor text here) Power attacker +1000. Smash Horn Q Green, 3 drop creature. Survivor (Insert standard survivor text here) This creature gets +1000 power. Anyway, take a look at the potential in a red/green rush deck. Example; Turn 1 : drop mana, summon braid claw. turn 2 : drop mana, summon blazosaur, hit with braid claw. (4 shields) turn 3 : drop mana, summon smash horn, (blazosaur 2000+ Smash horn 3000+) hit 2 shields. (2 shields) turn 4 : drop mana, Do whatever, hit with everything, gg. Now obviously this is a best case scenario, but you should get the gist of what I'm saying. If you are forced to hold back by blockers, it shouldn't take to long for you to be able to over power them. Say your opponent is running mono-water and has managed to get angler cluster out. By this time you should have a blazosaur and smash horn out, you summon another smash horn, end. Next turn summon blazosaur and smash horn (that's 3 smash horn and 2 blazosaur which means smash horns have 5000+2000 on attack and blazosaurs have 4000+2000 on attack). That's enough to overpower cluster. Again, a problem arises, how the heck are you going to have the exact cards you need in your hand? This one's easier to explain, the drawing power of cyclone panic. Anyway, here's an example of the red/green rush deck.
