Welcome back everyone to
Pojo.com's Card of the Day! From here on out we're
going to continue to give your our "Shattered
Alliances Top Ten Countdown List"! Now, just so
everyone knows ahead of time, this list is a
combination of others opinions and in some cases
some items I did not choose. However, I am willing
to review these cards regardless as they all add a
unique flavor to our current metagame! Without
further ado, number nine is: Ra-Vu the Indomitable!
Name:
Ra-Vu the Indomitable
Civilization: Light
Type:
Creature
Race: Skyforce
Champion
Level: 8
Power: 6000
Flavor Text:
Ray: "We will not be stopped!
Ra-Vu, finish them!" -Master Nigel
Rarity:
Very Rare
Set Number:
5/80 l 9SHA
Abilities:
Double Breaker (This
creature breaks 2 shields.)
Omega Pulse- This
creature wins all its battles.
Ra-Vu the
Indomitable is the first of its kind to have the
"Omega Pulse" ability. This effect makes it so that
Ra-Vu will win every
battle he ever is involved with! Yes, you heard that
right, he cannot lose a battle! You can crash him
into a creature with 1000000000000 power and he
would still arise to be victorious!
So why even give this card a power
level to begin with? Well, being that he is the
answer to every creature card out there, there's
obviously going to be creature removal. Ra-Vu is
able to avoid all the low cost spells like Bone
Blades but is just out of reach of Tornado Flame.
Most people will likely rely on cards like Grip of
Despair, Terror Pit, or Root Trap to deal with this
guy.
Ra-Vu is a nice addition to the
Skyforce Champion arsenal, however, being a level 8
still seems to be a bit costly since he's a sitting
duck to removal spells. He also can easily be taken
out by a Slayer since Omega Pulse does not protect
him from that ability. But let's not forget that he
can take down those pesky monarchs with ease!
Overall
this is a very neat
card but I don't know just how much play this card
will be seeing, mainly because it doesn't provide
you with any immediate advantage against your
opponent. Time will tell if this will find a nice
tech spot in certain decks but I don't see it
occurring all too often.
Constructed: 3.00/5.00
(He wins every battle which is a huge plus but
sitting at 8 mana is a bit costly and he still dies
to a lot of removal.)
Limited: 2.50/5.00
(If you can stall long
enough to get this card out it can easily win you
the game, however, aggressive strategies are often
the ones that win in limited.)
Make sure to stop by again on
Wednesday, September 25th for Number 7 on our
countdown! Until next time my fellow Kaijudo Duel
Masters, keep calm and game on!
