Hello again my fellow Kaijudo
Duel Masters! Today we're taking a look at some more
cards from Shattered Alliances before we get a whole
ninety new cards (ninety-one if you count Vicious
Squillace Scourge) from Invasion Earth! Let's take a
look at Kazzix the Volatile
Name: Krazzix the
Volatile
Civilization: Water/Fire
Type: Creature
Race: Riptide Champion/Blaze Champion
Level: 6
Power: 6000+
Flavor Text: N/A
Rarity: Very Rare
Set Number: 61/80 l 9SHA
Abilities:
(This card enters your mana zone tapped.)
Double Breaker (This creature breaks 2
shields.)
Superheated Steam- Whenever you draw a card,
this creature gets "Powerful Attack +2000" until the
end of the turn.
Massive- While this creature has power 12000
or more, it has "Triple Breaker."
Krazzix the Volatile or Lenny
Krazzix, as I like to call him, is a level 6
creature that introduces us to the Riptide and Blaze
Champion races all in one card. He has a respectable
6000 power and Double Breaker with the potential to
be one, if not the, strongest card in the
game! Let me elaborate a little bit on that.
Every time you draw a card,
this guy gains Powerful Attack +2000. So at the
start of your turn when you draw, he gets the effect
one time. If you should play a card like "Logos
Scan" he will gain the ability two more times,
unlocking his Triple Breaker ability and giving him
12000 power when attacking. If you combine him with
Tritonus, he gains the +4000 for the "Water Monarch"
ability and he'll gain his ability up to five times
when you draw with Tritonus! That means that Krazzix
can swing in there for 22000! That's even stronger
than if your opponent had two Infernus the
Immolators out in their battle zone! Keep in mind
though that this is only until the end of the turn
and Krazzix will go back down to 6000, so let's try
not to get too carried away!
There are some other combos you
can do with this card, however, most of them involve
General Finbarr. The more creatures you have in your
battle zone that can attack while you have Finbarr
out, allows you to draw a card and gives Krazzix
more fuel for his fire. Also, if you happen to
maintain your shield count until you bring out
Krazzix, you could play the new spell card from
Invasion Earth, "Reverberate," and draw the same
amount of cards as you do shields!
Overall this guy has some
serious power potential but he still has a long way
to go before he's seeing play in our current
metagame.
Constructed: 2.75/5.00
(He has the potential to be the strongest card in
the game but requires to many combos to get there.)
Limited: 4.00/5.00 (A turn six Double Breaker
that goes up to 8000 just for drawing for your turn
is really good to fend off against aggressive
strategies. He may be able to get past the 8000 mark
in limited but it's a little less likely.)
I hope you enjoyed today's
review! Make sure to check out my article on Alter
Reality Games’ website and until next time my fellow
Kaijudo Duel Masters, keep calm and game on!
