Hello everyone and welcome to our Tuesday edition of the Card of the Day here at Pojo.com! Today's card is one that was recently reprinted in the Triple Strike deck and honestly I think it needed a reprint! Let's take a look at the best search card in the game, Crystal Memory.

Name: Crystal Memory
Civilization:
Water
Type: Spell
Race:
N/A
Level:
4
Power:
N/A
Flavor Text: Inside each cyber virus is a tiny crystal that stores every memory it has ever stolen.
Rarity: Rare
Set Number: 39/165 l 3RIS

Abilities:

Shield Blast (Instead of putting this spell into your hand from a broken shield, you may cast it for free.)
Search your deck, take a card from it, and put that card into your hand. Then shuffle your deck.

Crystal Memory basically says, "Take any card you want or need from your deck.". What makes this card even better is the fact that you don't even need to show your opponent what you take with this effect. Memory was one of those cards that was relatively difficult for newer players to get a hold of since it was a rare in a set of 180 cards. Not to mention that it had a price tag ranging between 10 to 20 dollars... Now with the release of the Triple Strike decks, you still pay 20 bucks but at least you get Memory and numerous other good cards.

If you're sporting a control deck of sorts, this card will have an overall better effect than if you're using a aggressive deck that's designed to only get to turn 4 to maybe even 8. Searching for that key combo piece you need is always amazing but even more so if this card is hit off of an attack... yeah, this card is also a shield blast, things just got better yet! Imagine your opponent has the upper-hand on you and you need one card to make a comeback, Crystal Memory lets you do that in spades. Search for the answer to whatever problem you're dealing with and then deal with it!

Lastly, this card has one other huge benefit for players, information. Assuming that you are well versed with your deck, number of cards, shield blasts, etc, you are able to determine what cards are in all of your shield zones! This kind of intel can completely change your playstyle and allow you to know whether or not you have cards like Terror Pit or Stormspark Blast down to get your back.

Overall this card is simply amazing. It gives you what you need and so much more. Expect to see this card see even more play now than ever before with the release of the Triple Strike decks.

Ratings:

Constructed: 4.75/5.00 (A card that can give you any card from your deck as early as turn four and give you a ton of information about your shields is too good not to run.)
Limited: 4.25/5.00 (A little slower in a limited format but still an amazing card.)

Stop back again tomorrow when we review over another shield blast that has seen a ton of play at the KMC's. Make sure to check out my channel for new content and until next time my fellow Kaijudo Duel Masters, keep calm and game on!
