Emperor Neuron CotD
Today's card is making waves in more way than one! Let's take a look at a card that has seen play in almost every area that has Kaijudo!
Don't worry about getting wet, just dive right in with today's card:
Emperor Neuron
Cost: 3
Civilization: Water
Type: Evolution-Creature
Race: Cyber Lord
Card Abilities:
Evolution - Put on one of your Cyber Lords.
Master Tactician - This creature can't be blocked.
Extract Data - Whenever this creature attacks, you may draw a card.
Since the dawn of Kaijudo Cyber Lords have been played in almost every deck that contained the Water Civilization, and Emperor Neuron sure was a great addition!
Being only three mana, Emperor Neuron hits the board incredibly early if you had the proper evolution bait for him. Cyber Sprite and Cyber Trader both make perfect targets!
This allows him to start breaking shields and netting card advantage excessively early in the game! Going first and summoning a Neuron on turn 3 may be enough momentum to win you the game if your opponent doesn't get a Shield Blast!
All that knowledge the Water Civilization has collected over the years really shows when some of them are so brilliant that they are a:
Master Tactician - This creature can't be blocked.
This ability is truly just icing on the cake, we're already getting a 5000 power creature that nets card advantage and it can't be blocked? Now that's just silly.
Being able to break shields through blockers or even attack other creatures without fear of being blocked is an impressive ability, but it's far from the only thing that the Water Civilization can do; Neuron uses his knowledge to:
Extract Data - Whenever this creature attacks, you may draw a card.
I guess it does just go to show that the pursuit of knowledge truly is infinite!
This ability is incredible, Aqua Seneschal is one of the most common turn three plays in the game simply because of this ability, and Neuron will remind you every single time he hits the board why that is.
This is a really powerful card and I expect to see him around for awhile.

Hello everybody, AHShadow here with my SECOND!!
COTD review ever! I just wanted to say sorry for my
last review, since I actually forgot to put in a
rating, but I'll make sure to not forget it today!
Anyways, today's card review will be on my personal
favourite card we got from Evo Fury: Emperor Neuron!
Emperor Neuron is a level 3 creature of the Water
civilisation and evolves from the intelligent Cyber
Lords! He has 5000 power and equipped with two great
abilities:
- Master Tactician — This creature can't be blocked.
- Extract Data — Whenever this creature attacks, you
may draw a card.
Advantages:
Emperor Neuron was blessed with the, arguably, most
supported race in the water civilization: the Cyber
Lords. This means that evolving Emperor Neuron is a
very common thing to do, since most of the
frequently used water cards are all cyber lords:
Aqua Seneschal, Cyber Trader, Cyber Sprite and
sometimes even Hydro Spy. These are all relatively
low cost creatures, which makes summoning Emperor
Neuron a very common task! Now onto his effects!
I usually like to discuss effects one by one, but in
this case, it is the combination of both effects
that make Emperor Neuron, the threat that he is! For
those who have been following Kaijudo for a while
now, should be
familiar with Neuron's second ability, "Extract
Data", which has exactly the same effect of Aqua
Seneschal's ability, "Choten's Advisor". Pairing
this already powerful ability with "Master
Tactician" means that Emperor Neuron will always
have the option of attacking the opponent and
getting to draw a card out of it. This is especially
useful against opponents that rely on blockers to
protect their monsters or shields. This means that
even Saradorable of Gloom Hollow can't do anything
when facing this creature! Moreoever, like Aqua
Seneschal, he provides very good tempo to the user
and forces the opponent to react to this card. If
the opponent doesn't have ways to deal with it,
after two-three attacks by Neuron, it would be very
difficult for the opponent to come back from all the
advantage you would have gained from it. His 5000
power is also no joke. Being able to run over
anything played on turn 3, bar Reef Gladiator, this
means that you are sure to activate extract data at
least once! Emperor Neuron can also trade off with
other threatening monsters such as Frogzooka, Mother
Virus, which has surprisingly increased in play,
Hydra Medusa and King Neptas.
Weaknesses:
Every evolution card, such as Emepror Neuron, all
have a common weakness, which is being a dead draw
if you don't have any evo-bait ready to be played in
hand or on the field. This is something everyone
should take into account when adding evolutions to
their deck. Evolutions are probably one of the worst
draws you can get when you are topdecking and that
fact alone can give game to the opponent. However,
if early on you don't draw any of your evo-bait, you
can just put him in the mana zone, instead! I
mentionned in the advantages, that being a level
three means that Emperor Neuron is almost the
strongest monster you can play on that turn and that
is still true. However, being level three is also a
downside, since this means that Emperor Neuron can
be killed by a lot more cards than most of the
powerful monsters. Emperor Neuron can be removed
from the battle zone by almost every commonly played
removal, except Barrage. This means that hitting a
Bones Blade, Return to the Soil, Tendril Grasp,
Terror Pit, Root Trap and Tornado Flame will all
remove Emperor Neuron from the field. This is
definitely something you should consider before
attacking, since unlike Aqua Seneschal, you had to
spend 1 other creature to summon Emperor Neuron to
the field!
Summary:
In conclusion, even though Emperor Neuron has some
weaknesses, there is no doubt that Emperor Neuron is
a very very good card and should not be
underestimated. This card will find a home in every
deck that plays a lot of Cyber Lords and especially
in decks that use Gigahorn Chargers, since it allows
Emperor Neuron to be searchable, meaning that you
are able to summon it way more easier! I could also
see him being played in more tempoish decks such as
Blurple (Water and Dark), where they play cards such
as Aqua Seneschal, Gigastand and Emperor Neuron to
always keep the opponent on their toes.
Ratings:
Constructed: 4/5
Limited (Draft): 3/5 (Since you may not have enough
Cyber Lord creatures to evolve off Neuron)

Emperor Neuron
Civilization - Water
Race - Cyber lord {Evolution}
Level - 3
Power - 5000
Our first evolution creature has a whopping 5000
power at only level 3, and since it's an evolution
it can attack the turn it enters the battle zone.
And you are going to want to attack with this a lot,
it's "Master tactician" ability makes it so your
opponent can't block it. If it was just that this
card might see play, but there is more and it makes
this card go from reasonable to insane.
"Extract Data" Makes it so every time emperor Neuron
attacks you get to draw a card. Yes that's right,
every time it attacks you draw a card. That means if
you attack a shield it's a net +0, and if you attack
a creature it's a net +2. Remember your opponent
can't block this.
And cyber lords have some of the best possible evo
bait you could ask for, speed wise cyber sprite and
cyber trader are level 1&2 respectively, but there
are all kinds of great cyber lords letting you drop
this in the mid game while offsetting the
card advantage cost associated with evos, and since
neuron himself is a card advantage machine it's just
nuts.
Emperor Neuron is the best evo in the game and
is usable in every deck type that uses water, from
rush to control. I wish i had two more.

Hello everyone! Welcome to another edition of
Kaijudo’s Card of the Day! Today we are looking at
one of my personal favorite cards in the game right
now, Emperor Neuron!
Emperor Neuron is a Level 3 Cyber Lord Evolution
card. He requires that you play him on top of
another Cyber Lord that you control. There are a ton
of Cyber Lords out there right now for only having a
few sets to work with. Most notably, we have: Cyber
Sprite at Level 1, Cyber Trader at Level 2, and Aqua
Seneschal and Hovercraft Glu-urrgle at Level 3.
His first ability “Master Tactician” states: This
creature can’t be blocked. This ability in itself is
extremely restricted in the current game as it is
only shared by three other cards: King Pontias,
Queen Orion, and Memory Swarm, all of which are also
water civilization cards.
His second ability “Extract Data” states: Whenever
this creature attacks, you may draw a card. Alright,
so this Cyber Lord is essentially the more
intelligent and more powerful elder brother of Aqua
Seneschal. Both are able to draw you a free card,
however, this is also an evolution card, which means
that it can attack the first turn it enters the
battle zone!
Lastly, Neuron’s power level is 5,000. This is
enough to deal with a lot of early game creatures if
you need to snipe off their attackers. Not too much
to say about this… it’s probably the most balanced
thing about this card.
Emperor Neuron is one of the easiest evolution
creatures to get out onto the field. I frequently
have him out on the battle zone somewhere between
turn 3-5 practically every game (unless he’s in a
shield zone!). It is also realistic to have two be
on the field at the same time and if this happens,
expect to win or at the very least be in a very
comfortable position! Late game, this guy can
seemingly come out of nowhere. One minute your
opponent has no field and the next they have two
cyber sprites that just evolved into Neurons!
The card does tend to have its weaknesses however.
Being a Level 3 it dies to Bone Blades,
Return to Soil, and Tendril Grasp. It also has
exactly enough power to be taken down by a Tornado
Flame. What do all of these cards have in common?
They’re all relatively lower cost cards and happen
to be Shield Blasts! Okay… I know Tendril Grasp is a
Level 6 spell but if you’re using the Water
Civilization, you don’t want to see this card off a
shield blast… a lot of your cards will fall to it…
but at least you’ll have a ton of mana right?!
This card is very popular right now and deserves the
right to be a Super Rare in the set. If you’re
looking to pick this card up, expect to spend
between $25-$30.
Ratings
Constructed:
4.75/5 (Only downside is that it’s an evolution and
requires a slightly more focused strategy than being
able to simply
splash him in, regardless, it’s just too good of
a card not to use! Expect this to be in a ton of
decks now and for months to come!)
Limited:
4.50/5 (Plenty of Cyber Lords to choose from in Evo
Fury makes this an obvious choice and such an
amazing card to have access to… Just make sure if
you’re drafting that the other players aren’t
soaking up
all of those Cyber Lords!)
Stay tuned for tomorrows card, see you then!
Hide your Sprites, hide your Pricklebacks, ‘cause
they banishin’ every-one
out here!
