Hello everyone and welcome back
to another edition of Pojo’s Card of the Day! Before
we get started I wanted to mention that I will be
updating my YouTube account and including new
content! I finally uploaded my videos to my new
computer and will be putting them up this week, so
stop by and check out the link under my image and
let me know what you think. Today we will be
reviewing one of the best removal spells in the
game, Terror Pit. Let’s get started!
Name: Terror Pit
Civilization: Darkness
Type:
Spell
Race: None
Level: 7
Power: None
Flavor Text:
“You cannot enter darkness without the darkness
entering you.” –Master Jaha
Rarity:
Rare
Set Number:
21/43 l
1TVR;
31/55 l 2DED;
94/165 l 3RIS
Abilities:
Shield Blast- (Instead of putting this spell into your hand from a
broken shield, you may cast it for free.)
Banish target enemy creature.
This is one of the main Shield
Blasts that everyone fears to hit. It can destroy
any creature except for the select few that can’t be
targeted by spells and abilities (i.e.: King Neptas).
There is no restriction on Level, Power, or even if
the creature is tapped versus untapped; it drags
them all into the pit!
This is one of the reasons that
“Blurple” (Water=Blue + Darkness=Purple) is so good;
they have access to some of the most powerful
removal spells including this card and Bone Blades.
I cannot say much more about
this card, it’s just too good! I mean… the only
downside is that it can be slow if you get it in
your opening hand, however, if that’s the case then
you’ll probably just charge it to your mana anyway!
But why wouldn’t you run this card? People used to
(and still may) use Death Smoke and that costs five
mana and isn’t
a shield blast, while this costs two more mana, can
kill anything, and if it was a shield blast, you get
to play it for FREE!
Ratings:
Constructed: 5.00/5.00 (One of the best removal cards in the game
and it’s not going anywhere; run three!)
Limited: 5.00/5.00 (Removal is awesome in Limited play especially
when it’s a card that can practically banish any
creature and potentially can be free to play!)
Hope you guys enjoyed today’s
Card of the Day! Stop back tomorrow as we look at
one of the most annoying cards in the game if you’re
running low on those removal spells; see ya then!
