It's Wednesday, February 20th,
and today we have a very interesting card review for
you today. If you are a fan of the Water
Civilization, Gargle, or Potatoes with bacon,
butter, and
cheese, then this card is for you! Let's take
a look at Potato Gun Glu-urrgle:
Name:
Potato Gun Glu-urrgle
Civilization: Water

Creature

"Gargle got any other tricks up his sleeve?"
-Ray

Very Rare

19/55 I 2DED

Spud Salvo-
During each of your turns, at the start of each
battle that includes this creature, return the other
creature to its owner's hand.
When I first saw this card I
was a little confused. Coming from a Yu-Gi-Oh!
background I basically thought this card was a Neo-Spacian
Grand Mole; not quite. This card is definitely meant
for the control player in all of us. This card can
repeatedly send back your opponents creatures back
to their hand as long as they have a tapped creature
or if they are blocking Glu-urrgle.
If you can manage to get a
couple of this guy onto the field, you should have
no problems dealing with most of your opponents
cards. Imagine sending back an evolution creature
with this guy. Sadly, you'll likely see the
evolution again on the following turn, but it leaves
your opponent with less options for their turn,
especially if you already know what they're planning
since you're the one who sent the card back to their
hand in the first place!
So let's take a quick look at
Glu-urrgle's stats shall we? He's a Level 4 with
3000 Power, which isn't that bad since he has a
powerful ability attached as well. He avoids being
hit by Barrage but is still prone to Bone Blades and
Return to Soil. Let's not forget that he is a Cyber
Lord, so he can transform into Neuron or Axon if
needed. He also has synergy with Finbarr, Council of
Logos. He can go up to 5000 power this way and take
out more threatening foes.
Ratings:
Constructed:
3.50/5.00 (In a control build or one that
utilizes a good deal of Cyber Lords, this card can
be really good. It's nowhere near being busted; if
it was a blocker and could use its effect on either
turn it would be! )
Limited:
4.00/5.00 (The ability to continually bounce
cards back to your opponents hand creates a constant
stream of advantage for you. While you are setting
up new plays they're struggling just to keep up!)
Don't forget to stop back
tomorrow when we review a card that may have at one
time been a Pokémon Master... Just saying.
