Welcome to our Tuesday edition of the Card of the week here at Pojo.com! I for one am exceptionally excited for a few reasons today. First of all, I am done with my first year of graduate studies and secondly, I finally get to attend my first local Duel Days! Anyways, let's get to today's card, Logos Scan.

Name: Logos Scan
Civilization:
Water
Type: Spell
Race:
N/A
Level:
3
Power:
N/A
Flavor Text: "Download complete. Attack imminent. Inform the Council!"
Rarity: Common
Set Number:   53/165 l 3RIS

Abilities:

Draw 2 cards.

Okay, so not a lot to cover with this one since all it says is "Draw 2 cards". It's a Water Civilization card that costs three mana to play. Seems pretty good in my opinion as long as you're not playing against a super aggressive deck. Generally your opponent is either just bringing out a creature or a blocker by this turn which will usually give you the chance to gain some early advantage.

It's cards like Logos Scan that make people tend to use cards like Skull Shatter. It presents you with more options to work with when dealing with more difficult match ups and can often provide you with an answer to deal with a given situation. After all, most people generally turn to the Water Civilization when they are looking for ways to draw cards and this card does that really well.

Ratings:

Constructed: 4.25/5.00 (The only reason it's not a perfect score is that in the early game it can literally take up your entire turn leaving you susceptible to rush decks and similar tactics.)

Limited: 4.25/5.00 (Creates early advantage or can help dig for that extra card that you need from your deck.)

See you all tomorrow for another review and discussion on cards that are frequently played at your local tournaments.  Until next time my fellow Kaijudo Duel Masters, keep calm and game on!

Tuesday, Logos Scan review:
I hope everyones playtesting is going well and that everyone is getting prepared for the KMC's! lets look at another great card you should be using in your decks!

Logos Scan
Civilization:  Water
Card Type:  Spell
Level:  3
Card Abilities:  Draw 2 cards.

Boom simple simple simple. If any of you have played any other card games, mainly games such as Yugioh, you would know how powerful draw cards are. Draw cards give you more options and allow you to dig deeper to those powerhouse cards you want to see.

A little side track here,  I've seen an interesting debate on the forums about 40 card decks or more (And I promise this correlates to logos scan). Math wise, a smaller deck count makes cards like Logos Scan that much more powerful. Digging for those power cards is theorhetically the best answer. Getting to those answers "faster" is what wins games, in theory. However this game is different from every game I've ever played.

While I do believe 40 card decks is "optimal" it does not necessarily mean it's the best. Aggressive decks do require you to get to those power house fast cards such as Bolt-Tail Dragon. However control decks need tech cards and tend to move slower. Those power cards do not usually provide the pressure required to end the game. They usually give you a huge swing in momentum but however they generally don't allow you to win the game outright. You grind out the game and make the shield blasts irrelavent. (Usually)

So the power of logos scan can vary from alright to godly. You WILL see this in decks for sure at the KMC's. Heck you be using it!

Summary:
Now I feel like doing a video on this 40 or more debate! Play this card!

Constructed 4.5/5
Limited 4/5
