We have a nice little....plain.....boring as hell piece today. Nothin' special 3/5/8 for 5. I can't really see this making any real constructed warbands. Even in limited you will hopefully have something better, but at least he's an 8 to kill - that's something, right?

Constructed: 1.5
Limited: 2

That Guy That Plays DreamBlade

CLAWKILLER

Woohoo, looks like we get ourselves an exclusive piece for you anxious Dremabladers. Unfortunately, this piece is a vanilla piece, which like Loyal Scragglemaw, means there is no tasty new effect to dive into. But here are the stats: 5F 3-5/8. Now as we have seen from the base set, Fear as a good share of 5 drops. Acoylte of Loss is 2-6/8, Jack of Blades is 3-4/7, and Geentel Husk is 2-5/6. However, all these base set pieces actually have effects. I'll rank them for you guys to show you how they rank in my book:

1) Jack of Blades

2) Geentel Husk

3) Clawkiller

4) Acoylte of Loss

Basically, this piece has the power that Fear needs, but for a little drop in stats, you get a great ability in the form of Expel. In other words, Jack of Blades is better. Geentel ranks higher just because his effect is amazing.

Constructed - 1.5/5 - we have Jacky boy, so use him

Sealed - 3.5/5 - this is where stats count, and this seems fairly good for a 5-drop. We'll have to see how the rest of the set turns out.

Artwork - 2/5 - looks like he delivers a bad backhand

We get a special sneak peek exclusive preview today from the soon-to-be-released Baxar's War expansion. The Clawkiller is a middleweight from Fear. As sneak peeks go, we probably could have done a whole lot better, but hey, beggars can't be choosers. There is not a lot to discuss here. The Clawkiller is a straight-up mid-class fighter with no special abilities. On balance he is costed to match his skill scores. in trade of for the lack of an ability he gets roughly one extra point of Defense and Life. Compare him, for example, to the Jack of Blades -- a 3 Power, 4/7 Defense/Life with a single blade Expel ability for the same 5-drop cost. Not sure I would take this guy over a Jack of Blades unless I was really desperate to get a little more staying power. I don't really see that as a strong likelihood. All-in-all this guy is highly average, which is probably exactly what he was intended to be. The best thing about this guy is the flavor text: "Don't wave back." Cute... might make my top ten flavor text list. Let's hope our next sneak peek gives us a little more to talk about.

Constructed: 2/5

Sealed: 2.5/5 (A little better in Limited, as it offers you a solid middleweight to fill-out your ranks.)

Artwork 3/5 ("Awww, cute li'l guy..." SLASH! "Aaaaaaaagh! It ripped my face off! Shoot it! SHOOT IT!)
