Pojo's Dragonball - What If?

What if Trunks managed to beat Cell as an USSJ? - Matt M.

Cell admitted to Trunks that he had exceeded him in brute strength and possibly power, I posit that if Trunks had managed to play on Cell's sense of pride by challenging him into a two way battle of energy waves, that Trunks could possibly have defeated Cell without neccesarily having to catch him.

The Battle might have played out like this: Trunks after powering up and failing to catch Cell, would remember that Cell had in an earlier battle played on Vegeta's sense of Pride by allowing him to absorb Android 18 to achieve 'Perfection'. Trunks in a smiliar twist of fate would goad Cell into standing up to his energy attack. Trunks would most likely use a Masenko and Cell a Kamehameha. In the end Trunks's greater amount of strength would decide the issue and Cell would be completely engulfed and destroyed.

After his victory Trunks would proceed back to the lookout and run into Vegeta and Krillin on the way. Vegeta would demand to know where Cell was and Trunks would claim he killed him. Vegeta infuriated at this would call Trunks a liar and demand he prove it. The two would battle with Trunks winning and Vegeta losing conciousness again. Vegeta may even be somewhat humbled by this expierence. Later on that day Goku and Gohan would emerge from the Chamber. Without the Cell Games, Gohan does not achieve Super Sayian 2 so soon and Goku obviously lives to raise Goten. Vegeta would sense Goku's superior strength and remembering his defeat at the hands of Trunks would train to achieve the Indefinite Super Sayian state for himself. Trunks returns to the future. About a year after Cell's defeat Vegeta would have closed the gap with Goku in terms of Strength and the two would battle for the title of Strongest Sayian. Goku being an inkling stronger than Vegeta, would win and the long issue would finally be settled.

Seven years after the defeat of Cell all of the Z fighters would sign up for the tournament. Goku would have the ability to go SS3 while Vegeta and Gohan can go SS2, Trunks and Goten would be dead even in terms of strength. The tournament would be crashed by Babidi's henchman and much would go the same until Babidi stirs some resentment in Vegeta and after awakening his darkside gives Vegeta the ability to go SS3. Eventually during the course of Goku and Vegeta's battle, Majin Buu would be revived in his 'Super Buu'

form, the reasoning for this being the much more massive amount of energy he recieved from both Sayians being SS3. Vegeta as in the series would knock Goku out and sacrifice himself in an attempt to kill Buu and fail. When Buu reassembles Babidi would pull the 'I'm gonna put you back in your ball' card and Buu wouldn't give a rat's ass and just send Babidi to Kingdom come.

After this Buu would have his way with the People of Earth. Meanwhile Goku would regain conciousness and go with Gohan into the chamber to use their second year. (Rmb Goku didn't die so he never learns the Fusion Dance).

After emerging both Father and son would challenge Buu together, Buu being outclassed by both would absorb Goku and kill Gohan. Afterwards he would go to the lookout and finish off the remainder of the fighters and absorb Piccolo in the process. Sooner or later Buu would blow up the Earth and begin roving across the universe. In Otherworld the Supreme Kai would have Gohan brought to his planet and he would attempt to pull the Z Sword out of the stone breaking the handle and releasing Old Kai. Old Kai awakens Gohan's 'Sleeping Powers' and as an emergency plan has Vegeta brought to the Planet.

Vegeta and Gohan then fuse with the Portara Earrings creating Goheta. Old Kai gives up his life and Goheta's life is restored. Goheta then challenges Buu on Namek and after a titanic battle destroys him. Earth and Goku are restored by Porunga and all is well. The third wish is used to defuse Goheta.
