Chapter3 Master Roshi got up to look for the source of the power. He wandered over to the north side of the island and he saw a little girl. “Little girl, what are you doing here?” he asked. “Before Mommy died, she told me to go find Master Roshi. Do you know where I can find him?” asked Calei. “I am Master Roshi, who was your mother?” “My mommy told me to tell you that I am daughter of Erin and Ryokin. She said to ask you to train me.” said Calei. “Erin...Ryokin? I’ve never heard of them.” said Master Roshi. “She also told me to tell you that I am half Saiyan, whatever that means...” said Calei. “HALF SAIYAN?!” exclaimed Master Roshi. “How old are you?” “I am 4 years old.” she stated. “Do you know any martial arts?” he asked. “Well, my daddy taught me karate...If that’s what you mean...”she said. “Yeah...what’s your name?” he asked. “My name is Calei.” she said. “Can you train me?” “Well I don’t know if I can...you have to prove you can be strong enough to train.” he said. “I am strong enough.” she said. “Are you sure you can tolerate the pressure and pain of training?” he asked. “Yes I can, I trained with my father and HE wasn’t easy on me.” she said “Is that so.” he said thoughtfully. “So, will you train me?” she asked using that innocent child hopeful voice with the big innocent puppy eyes. “First you must show me you’re strong enough.” he said. She crossed her arms and scowled. “How do you want me to prove I’m strong enough? Can I just spar with you and prove it that way?” “Um...that’s not exactly what I had in mind, but okay.” She smirked a very evil looking smirk and waited until he started. She scowled when she saw that he wasn’t doing anything. “Master Roshi c’mon! I want to train and before I can do that I have to prove I’m strong enough by sparring with you...remember? C’mon...I wanna train!” she said, giving that innocent-little-girl-with-big-puppy-eyes-that-will-make-you-do-anything look. “Yeah, I remember...” he said. “It’s just that I haven’t trained a girl before...” “C’mon!!!” she said impatiently. “I’ll be easy on her since she’s a girl” he thought. “NO! You WILL treat me as any other student of yours! You had better not treat me any different!” she shouted. “I didn’t say anything...”he said in protest. “But I heard you THINK it.” she shouted. “Ho how did you do that?” he asked. “My dad taught me how.” she said. “Now on with the fight!”
