Let's say you are using the Blue MBS Mastery. Android 19 attacks Trunks the Scientific 
Level 2 with Android 19's Energy Burst. The attack is successful and does 4 life cards 
of damage. Trunks uses the Mastery to prevent 2 life cards of damage by removing a Blue 
Betrayal in his discard pile from the game. He must take 2 more life cards because he 
has prevented the other two.

On the other hand, if Android 19 used Orange Revealing Attack doing 9 life cards of 
damage, and Trunks prevented 2, he would still have to take 3 life cards of damage.

Let's say Piccolo's Power Ball is successful and Trunks takes 1 life card, and it 
reveals to be a Trunks Flying Uppercut. The next 3 life are prevented due to Endurance. 
He still has to take 2 more, because he needs to take life cards until he reaches 3, no 
matter what he prevents.

2. In expanded tournements, can you use GT or TE only cards to win by most powerful 
personality victory.

>> Sure you can, but remember if you use any GT card to gain you a level you cannot 
win by Most Powerful Personality Victory. Remember Are You Tuff Enuff??? has been 
errataed as well to you can't win by MPPV once you use this card.
It's not illegal to run the cards but it wouldn't be wise to think you could Black 
Energetic Mastery to win by MPPV. There are cards that raise your anger and are TE 
cards, so sure, use them.
