Red Cell’s Evil Plans – GT Super 17 Saga
Uncommon - #90
Event – Combat

Power: If you declared a Tokui-Waza, search your Life Deck for a Dragon Ball and play it. For the rest of Combat, all your opponent's personalities' PURs gain -1 for each Dragon Ball you control. You cannot use Red Cell's Evil Plans again this turn. Remove from the game after use.

Heh, fun. Dragon Ball searcher but for Red, and in the form of an Event card. This should prove to be an interesting card in many archtypes, mainly because Red isn’t mainly a DB style. Depending how you look at it that is.

The second effect works off of Red Essence Eruption Drill to make a built in Capturing Drill for Focused. Of course you should be using Goku’s Capturing Drill for Expanded so… yeah.

The big key is the searching of the Dragon Ball. Couple things to look at: Remove from the game after use insures no abuse like Goku’s DB Quest. Not allowing you to use it more than once per combat stops people from using all 3 copies at once to break out broken hands or even speed up DB victory. But the key is it still allows you to use the card power on the DB, which, in a sense, allows you to indirectly do a lot of things with this card.

Red Rush getting you down? Black Star 5. Non-Combats flooding the table? Namek 4. Need to refill your hand? Earth 3. Anger deck seeking out two more anger? Earth 5. Fun stuff. This card just gives you amazing tech options even if you aren’t going for the DB win. It allows you to turn this card into a DB card power, which gives you major versatility in multiple situations.

Anger decks, which haven’t gotten a ton of support, will embrace this card as it can turn into 2 anger plus major card advantage. Red Blazing DB decks will speed up with this release. Rush decks will… not run this ;). I’d even consider trying it out in regular Red beatdown decks because some DBs are just that broken.

Anyway try this card out. It should prove to be something fun and interesting, if you look and examine all the DBs and run a good selection.

Expanded: 4.4 out of 5.0 (very diverse selection to choose from, can change things drastically)
Focused: 4.1 out of 5.0 (will only be used in Blazing, with less DBs to pick from)
Sealed: 3.5 out of 5.0 (could be somewhat useful if you pull DBs)

Trunks
Red Cell's Evil Plans
Search and play a Dragon Ball from your Life Deck. For the rest of Combat, all your opponent's personalities' PURs gain -1 for each Dragon Ball you control. You cannot use Red Cell's Evil Plans again this turn. Remove from the game after use.
Another new dragonball searcher. Goes perfect with Red Blazing mastery if you dont own the cards for red rush. This one is pretty plain and simple. Get a dragonball and play it. All your opponents PURs gain -1 for each db you have in play. Though not much of an effect. It gets a dragonball and its an event. Its really good card. And its not even rare!

Rating 2.5 (4.0 if its in a DB deck)

KingBroly Red Cell's Evil Plans (Event Combat)

If you declared a Touki-Waza, search your Life Deck for a Dragon Ball and play it. For the rest of combat, all of your Opponent's personalities' PUR's gain -1 for each Dragon Ball you control. You cannot use Red Cell's Evil Plans again this turn. Remove from the game after use.
Let's see...after the errata to "Touki" and "rest of combat" this card will be played a lot in Focused since you could get 5 Dragon Balls with a Red Blazing Cell deck. Radar, and 4 of these you are going to be pretty bad once New DB's come out. Right now since there is Black Smoke Dragon to kill all DB's in focused, DB is kinda useless.
For Expanded, a few players might try to build this deck type. That way you have 8-10 DB searcher cards in a single deck. If it's a speed ball deck that's usually 50 cards, that's 1/5 of your deck. Ouchies. Man, I hate DB decks, and this makes me hate them a lot more!

Expanded: 4.25/5
Focused: 2/5 (To get better soon)
