>please tell me how to Improve it.
VULPIX: You want me to tell you how to Improve your deck? Well, you're in luck.
I have just the solution for you.
1) Sell all your holos
2) Buy one of the Base Set 2 theme decks
That should get you on the right track. The truth is, this deck is pretty much
done for. You mention a "good" draw you got once, but what happens
when you get one of the other 386,206,920 possible draws? With no way whatsoever
to search or draw cards (well, Kangaskhan, but good luck getting it) you're
pretty much up the proverbial creek if you get stuck with a Dratini or Magikarp.
Lapras, Kangaskhan, or Chansey are the bright spots here--everything else is not
present in nearly the amounts that you'd need to make it work effectively.
As Spike mentions elsewhere in this update, Fire and Water is the sort of combo
you want to think twice about in the first place. You haven't made matters any
better by choosing two of the most insane families for this deck--Gyarados and
Charizard. Gyarados is good in its own right, and Charizard can be made to work,
but together they are the Pokemon equivalent of an air-raid siren. In other
words, when you see them, you want to find a hole to hide in and not come out
until all the explosions have stopped.. Given that you've got a 2-2 Gyarados
evolution, you might see it actually hit the board sometime, but with no way to
search, you can pretty much write off your chances of getting Charizard. Unless
you stack your deck, which wouldn't surprise me.
Trainers actually make a bit more sense. The 3 GOW and 3 Switch are okay, and
taken by themselves, would lead to the false impression that you're the sort of
guy who puts multiples of sensible cards in his deck. Imposter Oak is good if
you play against the sort of people who display their emotions like that, which
would make sense given your intimations that this deck has a winning record. And
we have Breeder, which gives you a chance of getting Charizard out. About the
same chance as winning the lottery, but a chance nonetheless. By the way, did
you know that if you put a little hat on a snowball, it can last a long time in
hell?
32 Energy. I'm just going to throw that figure out there, and not comment on it
or anything.
Spike?
SPIKE: Okay. A dragon deck is not altogether unworkable, but dem Fire Pokemon
gots to go. Gyarados and the dragon family, plus some stuff like Lapras and
Kangaskhan/Chansey, should make a pretty decent deck. As for trainers and
energy, those will follow pretty much the same format as 95% of the decks I fix.
Have a look around--good examples are everywhere.
