Review of episode 415: "Mountain Time"

Review of Mountain Time

by Steven Reich

Episode Title Origin: Mountain time is the least populous of the four
continental time zones.

Teaser:
Out heroes are heading through the mountains, when as spots a Ledian flying
by. It then runs into a gust of wind and is propelled backwards.

Theme song time!

As it turns out, the Ledian was being trained by a boy named Benji and his
father. Benji explains that the Ledian have to survive in all sorts of
weather (they could just send them here to Wisconsin). Benji's father leaves,
and shortly thereafter one of the Ledian becomes caught in another gust, this
one created by a trio in a balloon (take a guess). Anyway, they capture a
Ledian, Pikachu, and Togepi, then get gusted to a very precarious position (a
rock on a mountain). Meanwhile, our heroes are trying to catch up, and
attempt to use a rope ladder, which breaks.

Anyway, Ledian and Noctowl save our friends, and Togepi Metronomes an attack
to apparently reverse time and save everyone from falling. Our heroes catch
up, and use Ledian to rescue everyone, but the dastardly villains, always
ungrateful, capture Pikachu and Togepi again and attempt to make off with
them using a smokescreen attack, but Benji's father goes and uses his
Pidgeotto to dispel the cloud, then the Ledian use swift to make the
evildoers blast off again. Night begins to fall, and the back of Benji's
Ledian begins to glow. His father says this is because he has trained it
well, and is ready to become a full fledged ranger.

Our despised ones are once again on a rock, a fight ensues, and they fall off.

Who's that Pokémon: Raichu

Moral of the episode: Those who do not give help cannot appreciate receiving
it. (I don't really believe this, by the way)

Analysis: The episode wasn't that interesting (I can't recall a single joke,
and the drama wasn't very good), but the music was. We had music from the
English movies, along with Type: Wild, if I remember my Japanese Pokémon
songs correctly. In any event, you didn't miss a while lot here if you missed
this episode.
