Having reviewed three Pokemon, I think it's time for a trainer card. Name: Devolution Spray Type: Trainer Card #: card 72 of 102 Rarity: Rare Text: Choose 1 of your own Pokemon in play and a Stage of Evolution. Discard all Evolution cards of that Stage or higher attached to that Pokemon. That Pokemon is no longer Asleep, Confused, Paralyzed, Poisoned, or anything else that might be the result of an attack (just as if you had evolved it). Yup, it's the one that makes you wonder why it had been put in in the first place (even Scoop Up is better than this). Well, let's see what it can do: It can: 1) Heal your Pokemon. Not bad, but Switch can do that. Full Heal can do that too. 2) As Alan said, change Pokemon Evolution level (in a later set). Maybe useful, but why do you have both evolutions in the first place? 3) As Alan said, turn Dragonite into Dragonair, putting the Psychic resistance back in place. 4) You have no more energy and your Pokemon can't attack or retreat! (Well then, try a different energy distribution.) Note: It doesn't remove Damage Counters, and if you have a Charizard with 11 Damage Counters, please don't use Devolution Spray, unless you really want it to die and give your opponent a present. All Pokemon with 2 Different Evolutions (Jungle and Fossil set included) Electrode L40 (Basic) L42 (Jungle) Raichu L40 (Basic) L45 (Fossil) Magneton L28 (Basic) L35 (Fossil) Haunter L22 (Basic) L17 (Fossil) Combos: Devolution Spray + Another Evolution - See above. Devolution Spray + Gyarados - ummmm, whoops. We're supposed to be talking about _helpful_ combos, aren't we :) Rating: Jonathan Ng - 2.0 Zachary Price - 2.0 (possibly useful, but not worth including in a deck).
