(Quick Effect): You can target 1 Effect Monster on the field and 1 “Rokket” monster in your GY; negate the effects of that monster on the field, and if you do, Special Summon that other monster from your GY. Your opponent cannot activate cards or effects in response to this effect’s activation. You can only use this effect of “Borrelend Dragon” once per turn.

Borrelend Dragon (we’ve done this before, no?) is a Link 5, Dark/Dragon Monster, with 3500 attack and arrows pointing to the respective bottom diagonals, as well as the immediate left, right, and above.  We like everything we see there.  Any 3+ Effect Monster are required for Link Summon.  Can’t be destroyed by Battle or Card Effects, nor Targeted by either players’ Card Effects.  So that attack, that immunity…umm…yeah, that’s a hard card to rid the Field of.  On top of being able to attack each of your opponent’s Monsters, once each, this card can be and has been the finisher of many a game.  A Quick Effect involving Targeting an Effect Monster on the Field (doesn’t even have to be yours) and a Rokket in your Grave, the one on the Field has it’s Effect(s) negated, and if so, you Special Summon the Rokket you chose from your Graveyard.  Oh, and that Effect, your opponent can’t activate Cards or Effects in response to it, only furthering the deadliness of this card.  This thing is an abomination, it’s so good.

Art:  4.5/5 also…pretty, flashy, colorful, but a little too busy

From one new Link boss to another, Revolver provides us a new Borrel Link with Borrelend Dragon.

Borrelend is a Link-5 DARK Dragon with 3500 ATK and arrows pointing Up, Left, Right, Bottom Left, and Bottom Right. Pretty strong arrows for a Link-5, a very respectable 3500 ATK, and the great combo of DARK and Dragon. Materials are any 3+ Effect Monsters, so pretty generic. It cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects, nor can it be targeted by monster effects, so it’s highly difficult to out when it hits the board. It can attack all monsters the opponent controls, once each, so it should be able to run over an opponent’s full board. Finally, you get a Quick Effect that the opponent can’t activate cards or effects in response to, letting you target an Effect Monster on the field and a Rokket in your graveyard to negate the effects of the monster on the field and revive the Rokket. It’s nice negation against the opponent’s monsters or maybe targeting your own Rokket to get its effects. Having to target a Rokket does make this effect not generic, which is more than fair cause it’d get a little too insane otherwise. Hard once per turn on this effect, but I don’t think you’re spamming Link-5s out enough to make this matter. Borrelend is a very powerful boss for the Deck that works for Dragon Link or pure Rokkets. It’s something you likely aim to summon in the Deck.

Advanced Rating: 4.25/5

Art: 5/5 Yeah, this looks like a boss.
