Well, to be honest, most of the Crossrides from BT09 would qualify as being representative of how useless the set actually was, in a meta saturated with the End and Majesty Lord, but I covered the worst ones a couple of weeks ago, and out of those, I would say Glory Maelstrom was probably the least terrible. Being able to seal Perfect Guards at a point when they’d be at their most useful is actually a good skill, and it also inspired many other imitators afterwards.

Of course, power creep means there’s more heavy hitters with the same ability than this, so it isn’t great now, but it’s nice to know its roots.
