Booby Trapped

When one of your opponent's effects on the queue would affect one (and only one) character in your party, you may have it affect one character in your opponent's party instead.

Booby Trapped

Booby Trapped is easily one of my favorite events in the game. The ability to not only cancel, but backfire my opponent’s removal is just genius, and for less than Dark Ritual’s half my life and Reality Check’s three energy! It also happens to be the only card that can “cancel” QQ – and it does one better, by returning one of your opponent’s characters to their hand. The best part is, no one ever expects it, because it’s so under-used. There’s nothing not to like, so why aren’t you using it?

Competitive – 5/5 – It’s really reliable and unexpected.
Casual – 4/5 – Not as good here because there’s less focus on removal.
Art – 5/5 – Just look at it! Bunnies! Being zapped!
Friday – A Squad 4/9 character?

Booby Trapped:

ITS A TRAP!!!

Traps are never a good thing get yourself into, and Booby Trapped is no exception.

Not only does it save their character from certain doom, but in return it dooms one of yours to whatever horrible fate you cast upon their character.

Since its terrible when used against you, think about how to use it against you opponent.

Its 1/1 cost allows you to trap your opponent with great ease. With specifically placed dual energies, your opponent might QQ or balance your character expecting only to get balanced in return, then WHAM! Booby Trapped now you still have your character and they don't.

Sadly even with all the fun things that can occur with this card, the amount of amazing cards that exist leaves Booby Trapped! out of many decks.

Competitive Play 3/5
