THE QUEST FOR THE TITLE BELT CONTINUES, AT THE ULTIMATE DUELIST SERIES INVITATIONAL!

Weekend’s Events Include Dragon Duel Tournament for Younger Players

 

El Segundo, Calif. (September 21, 2017) – It’s not just time to Duel – it’s time to decide the Ultimate Duelist! Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. (KONAMI) presents the Summer Ultimate Duelist Series (UDS) Invitational, a prestigious invite-only tournament awarding one of the most coveted accolades in the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG): the Ultimate Duelist Championship Belt! Qualified Duelists from the Ultimate Duelist Series (UDS) will throw down at Osceola Heritage Park on September 23 – 24 in a full weekend of competition.  When the dust settles one competitor will take home a wealth of prizes, including a massive Championship title belt! The ultimate honor is on the line: who will become the Ultimate Duelist?

 

Top finishers in the UDS Invitational main event will score a wealth of prizes, including Ultimate Duelist Series Lanyards, Pins, and Medals; UDS Points for next season; an exclusive plush cloth Ultimate Duelist Series Invitational Game Mat; and Ultra Rare copies of the groundbreaking Prize Card Dark End Dragon. Not qualified for the main event? The Public Event playoffs will give eight Duelists a shot at their very own Ultimate Duelist Series Invitational Game Mat.

 

Are YOU qualified to compete? The Ultimate Duelist Series Invitational is open to Duelists who have collected 100 UDS Points, awarded for competition in UDS Qualifiers and most Tier 2 events, such as Regional Qualifiers, Dragon Duels, and the Yu-Gi-Oh! Registration will open at 8:00 a.m. sharp on Saturday, September 23, running to 9:45 a.m, with Round 1 beginning promptly at 10 a.m. The Ultimate Duelist Series Invitational main event tournament and Dragon Duels will be played in the Constructed Advanced Format. Two Dragon Duel tournaments will also be played: Duelists born 2005 or later are invited to compete in special tournaments on September 23 and 24. Top finishers will receive a 2018 Regional Qualifier Game Mat, a Dragon Duel T-Shirt, and a Dragon Duel Medal to commemorate their success. Invitations to the Dragon Duel World Championship Qualifier will be awarded according to attendance.

 

A full spread of Public Events will also run all weekend long, including 2018 Regional Qualifiers; Ultimate Duelist Series Qualifiers; two ATTACK OF THE GIANT CARD!! events; Win-A-Mat, Sealed Starter Deck, Sealed Structure Deck, Yu-Gi-Oh! Day, and Generation Duel tournaments.

 

UDS Invitational Prizing Information:

 

•   1st place – Ultimate Duelist Series Championship Belt; paid travel and accommodations to the winner’s next Season Invitational to defend their title; Ultra Rare Prize Card - Dark End Dragon; Ultimate Duelist Series Invitational Game Mat; Ultimate Duelist Series Invitational Top Cut Pin; Ultimate Duelist Series Invitational Winner Pin; and 100 Ultimate Duelist Series Points (awarded for next season).

 

•   2nd place – Ultra Rare Prize Card - Dark End Dragon; Ultimate Duelist Series Invitational Game Mat; Ultimate Duelist Series Invitational Top Cut Pin; and 50 Ultimate Duelist Series Points (awarded for next season).

 

•   3rd – 4th place – Ultra Rare Prize Card - Dark End Dragon; Ultimate Duelist Series Invitational Game Mat; Ultimate Duelist Series Invitational Top Cut Pin; and 30 Ultimate Duelist Series Points (awarded for next season).

 

•   5th – 8th place – Ultra Rare Prize Card - Dark End Dragon; Ultimate Duelist Series Invitational Game Mat; Ultimate Duelist Series Invitational Top Cut Pin; and 20 Ultimate Duelist Series Points (awarded for next season).

 

All Day 2 finishers will be awarded an Ultimate Duelist Series Invitational Day 2 Pin, an Ultimate Duelist Series Invitational Day 2 Medal, and 20 UDS Points.

 

•   Redemption Tier – 100 UDS Points – Ultimate Duelist Series Invitational Lanyard; Ultimate Duelist Series Invitational Pin; and 10 UDS Points (awarded for next season).

 

•   Redemption Tier – 150 UDS Points – Ultimate Duelist Series Invitational Lanyard; Ultimate Duelist Series Invitational Pin; Ultimate Duelist Series Invitational Medal; and 10 UDS Points (awarded for next season).

 

•   Redemption Tier – 200 UDS Points – Ultimate Duelist Series Invitational Lanyard; Ultimate Duelist Series Invitational Pin; Ultimate Duelist Series Invitational Medal; a 1st Round BYE; and 10 UDS Points (awarded for next season).

 

UDS Invitational Dragon Duel Prizing Information:

 

•   1st – 4th place – 2018 Regional Game Mat; Dragon Duel T-Shirt; and a Dragon Duel Medal.

 

Both Dragon Duel tournaments award invites to the 2018 Dragon Duel World Championship Qualifier based on attendance.
