Hello Pojo fans, it's me, Sean, with an interesting deck idea. The night
before I was writing this, I was trying to think of a good deck to
utilize Erika's Dratini's Pokemon Power. After a few minutes, I realized
that Mr. Mime would be a good partner for the Dratini. Mime stops
evolutions, Dratini stops basics. I threw in some backup Pokemon, an
assortment of disruption and drawing trainers, some energy, and voila!
Total Lockdown was born.

TOTAL LOCKDOWN:
    Pokemon - 11
4 Mr. Mime
4 Erika's Dratini
3 Scyther

    Trainers - 33
3 Pokemon Center
4 Potion
4 Oak
3 Comp. Search
4 RSA
3 Rocket's Trap
2 Scoop Up
2 Switch
2 Energy Flow
4 Super Energy Removal
2 GOW

    Energy - 16
13 Psychic
4 DCE

STRATEGY -
The main strategy of the deck is to lock down the board in your
favor. To do this, you'll need to first destroy their opening hand. This
can be done with the Rocket Sneak Attacks and Rockets Traps. After their
hand is destroyed, try to get a Dratini, a Mr. Mime and a Scyther into
play. This can be done using the 4 Comp Search and 4 Oak. After your
main pokemon are in play, the true lockdown begins. Use Dratini for
basic Pokemon and bring up mime for Evolutions or heavy-hitters. Scyther
is here for his free retreat and fighting resistance, so he can lock up
Hitmonchans. Keep forcing them to retreat by retreating and healing your
pokemon. All of your retreat costs are low, but Haymaker Pokemon such as
Buzz and Chan, as well as the widely used wigglytuff, have high retreat
costs. All their retreating will eventually run them out of energy. SERs
aid in doing this as well. Since neither Dratini nor Mime will die in 1
shot if you play the retreats correctly, heal them up with PokeCenters
and Potions. As your opponent wastes energy retreating, beat them down
with your attacks.

VS. Turbo Wigglytuff -
Destroying their opening hand should win you the game by itself. If
they do get Tuff by turn 2, simply use Mime to stall the wiggly.
Jigglypuff is a threat to Mime, but it only scratches Erika's Dratini.
Since Wiggly decks often run low energy, and Wiggly has a 2 Retreat
cost, all that retreating to get KOs will leave them dry on energy.
After that, it's game.

VS. Haymaker -
This is perhaps the easiest deck to defeat with Total Lockdown. Why?
Because haymakers can't touch Erika's Dratini. Simply stick the Dragon
out there and heal it every now and then while tail-striking away.
Haymaker will fall helpless.

VS. Raindance -
This one is tough. Try to destroy their hand before they can start
oaking. If you do, they should be done already. If they do get Toise
out, Use Mime and SER to combat it. Raindance Pokemon have high
retreats, so make them retreat a lot. An energyless Raindance is Meat.

VS. Stall -
This is one of the toughest decks to beat with Total Lockdown. If
the stall is Alakazam style, try to destroy their hand before they can
start Pokemon Centering. Otherwise, keep attacking away. Stall will,
however, beat this deck on most occasions.

VS. Trapper -
To beat the new trapper style decks, pray you go first. If you do,
you have a chance. If not, your chances are slim. If you do go first,
try to RSA away their key trainers (Rocket's Traps, Oaks, Imp. Oaks
Revenge, Comp Searches) although there will be many. From there on, use
Dratini and heal it when it gets 30 damage on it. If you don't go first,
pray for a good Topdeck, or use Dratini to stall for a couple of turns.
I've not yet faced trapper, but I know I will soon.

Well, there you have it. I hope you enjoyed Total Lockdown. I'm
definately open to CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, so feel free to respond to
this deck idea. Currently, I'm trying to gather the cards needed for
this deck, so if anyone has any suggestions, I will gladly take them
into consideration. Also, if anyone could figure out how to get some
PlusPower or Item Finders in the deck, I'll greatly appreciate it.
Thanks for your time. Feel free to try the deck for yourself, you might
like it. Adios untill next time,
