TOP TEN BASICS

 

 

 

    1 Electabuzz

 Thunder shock is a great opener and thunder punch is just amazing for the cost. 70 HP is great for a basic. It's only drawback is fighting weakness and retreat cost of 2.

 

    2 Scyther

 70 HP and a free retreat cost is just awesome. He has 2 solid attacks and can be put into ALMOST every deck. It is easily beaten by magmars and energy removal.

 

 

    3 Magmar

 Once again 70 HP and 2 great attacks. Smokescreen is a good stall and smog can go in for the kill. Low retreat and the ability to destroy scyther is great.

 

    4 Brocks Ryhorn

 70 HP is good and a 75% chance of doing 70 damage for 2 energys!!!!! Wow that is just amazing. It also has resistance to thunder. The bad thing is that it has a retreat coat of 3.

 

    5 Hitmonchan

 Notice a trend??? He to has 70 HP and a great attack. For one energy 20 damage with his jab. He has lost alot of favor because of scyther and Mewtwo.

 

    6 Chancey

 ''And the winner for best stalling pokemon goes to ... CHANCEY''. Enough said.

 

    7 Mr. Mime

 A card that shyts down Rain DANCE is gotta be good. Good attack too.

 

    8 Lt. Surge Rattatta

 Good retreat and okay HP is nice. But it makes the list because of it's attacks. doing 40 by turn 2 is great.

 

    9 Farfetche'd

 Two great attacks and solid HP. Rated so low because of weakness to Buzz.

 

    10 Lapras

 Solid HP and a water pokemon that can beat a mime. Solid, just solid
