I'm very sorry that I need to rant. But nonetheless I will. I am
sincerely sorry if i step on any toes (except for those DCI gits).
Rant 1- The Geneva Archetype Naming Convention!
We need to standardize our archetype names. I have built up a great deal of
disgust for the various people who rename the archetypes because they feel
like it.
*Rain Dance- A deck that mainly uses Blastoise. No turbos, hypers, or
anything else.
*Haymaker- A deck that uses all basic Pokémon. Scyther, Electabuzz, Lv. 60
Mewtwo, and Hitmonchan are coomon in these decks. NOT called iNsAnE or
anything else.
*Wigglytuff- A deck that mainly uses Wigglytuff. No hypers, supers, turbo,
etc.
*Energy Denial- A deck that tries to remove energies as its goal.
*Trapper- A deck that tries to remove cards from the hand as its goal.
*Aero-Mew- A deck that combines Aerodactyl with Mew to prevent evolutions.
*Sponge- A deck primarily uses Lv. 60 Mewtwo.
*Stall- A deck that tries to make the opponent draw his entire deck.
Please use these names in the place of all your cheesy archetype names. Do it
for the convenience of the group.
    Rant #2- The DCI/Wizards!
Do something!!!!! Prop. 15 and 2T stink. Just make bans, erratas, and
restrictions like for M:TG. I'm tired of hearing beginner's this and
introductory that and friendly play the other. I don't complain when I can't
use my Moxes (got a set!) in DCI. I don't complain when I can't be a Chaotic
Evil wizard in the RPGA. We are fine with it being a slightly more complex
and mature game, and most of us can handle it (Plus I can't stand all the
CCGs besides Magic and Pokémon). The most is for those whiny babies who are
always "Don't take away our achetypes!" (said sarcasticly). Give it up!
Rant #3- The Grammar and Spelling on Pojo!
Have any of you ever set foot in an English classroom (Not applicable to our
overseas friends. You guys are cool.)? Use correct grammar and spelling
please. I can understand the use of the implied you, but many of take it too
far. I can also understand the use of underlining and capital letters for
emphasis, but you people also take that too far. Please tighten up your
writing skills.
Rant #4- Talking to your "Pokémon!"
It's a little creepy to talk to imaginary friends. You should try to keep it
to a minimum. Apologies to those who weave decent stories, but the others
destroy the approach. Talk to Sock Puppet A/B/C. It is much more funny.
    Rant #5- The Anime Rant!
I am tired of you people who think that you're all bad otakus and stuff.
People regularly come up to me (being a renowed geek at my school) and try to
talk about anime and call themselves otaku (geek/fan in Japanese, with a
connotation of being an anime geek in America). I mention "Evangelion" or
"Slayers"  or some other common anime and they go, "Huh? I just watch stuff
on Cartoon Network (or Pokémon or Digimon or Cardcaptors)." I think I
destroyed someones mind once when I mentioned "Space Pirate Captain Harlock."
Please stop thinking that you are a "big anime fan" if all you do is watch
the more common broadcast stuff (There are some more unusual things aired if
one knows where to look).
    Rant #6- Killer Deck Reports!
I am very tired of seeing the same deck with minor changes in all the
reports. If you made some major changes to accomodate a new set or promo,
that's understandable. But seeing the same deck posted thirty times is LAME.
I am tired of seeing lame decks in the deck reports. Stupid decks like 1X
Charmander, 1X Dark Charmeleon, 4X Charizard, etc. should be screened out.
They anger me. Deck reports in MIME format are not readable by my browser.
Stop posting them!!!
Sorry to babble. Comments should be sent to me, Alan Mitchell, at

-No sig man out.
