I remember when I first started playing Pokémon TCG, I did not
understand how the Prizes worked. So, I had a different rule change.

At the start of the battle, search your deck for 3 Basic Pokémon and put them
into your hand. Shuffle your deck and then draw 4 cards. Instead of taking
Prizes when you KO your opponent's Active Pokémon, your opponent places its
Basic Pokémon and all Evolution cards on his or her bench face-down. With
this, it makes it more like a Pokémon battle on the GB or in the Stadium. It
would call for a few rule changes on certain Trainers or attacks:

Revive: Choose one of your Knocked Out Pokémon and turn it face-up. Put
damage counters equal to half its HP (round down to the nearest 10.)

Do the Wave: Does 10 damage plus 10 more damage for each Pokémon on your
bench (that is not Knocked Out).

Bench Manipulation: Your opponent flips a number of coins equal to the number
of Pokémon on his/her bench (that is not Knocked Out). This attack does 20
damage to the Defending Pokémon times the number of tails (Don't apply
Weakness and Resistance for this attack).

Miraculous Comeback: Flip a number of coins equal to the total number of
Pokémon in play (that is not Knocked Out). This attack does 10 damage times
the number of heads. Then, this Pokémon does 10 damage times the number of
tails to itself.

These fun rule changes may certainly put a different perspective on matches
when it is used. Try it out sometime, I think you will have a lot of fun!
