Whassupi!!!

Mmmm, Stadium cards! Everone wants 'em; everone needs 'em. They add a whole
new flavor to the game, giving us Trainers that not only affect one turn,
but all of 'em (or as long as it it takes for your opponent to put out
another Stadium). Heroes brought us some real ineteresting Stadiums and here
they are (the effects are not word for word):

Narrow Gym

Effect: No player may have more than 4 Pokemon on their bench.

Rating (out of 10): 5.0
This card is ok. It is uncommon to see the opponent have 5 Pokemon on the
bench right away, but it can knock off NRG and other pests. And it DOES NOT
really affect Wiggly that much.

Vermilion City Gym

Effect: Whenevera player's Lt. Surge Pokemon attacks, that player may flip a
coin. If heads, that attack does an additional 10 damage. If tails, do 10
damage to the attacking Pokemon.

Rating: 5.5
Not that great. It will act like a PlusPower, but only for Surge's Pokemon.
And since most of 'em have lower HP, flipping tails will be almost suicide.

Pewter City Gym

Effect: Don't apply Resistance for attacks made by Pokemon with Brock in
their name.

Rating: 7.0
Great in an all-Brock deck! There are a lot of Fight-resistant creatures out
there, making this card pretty good overall.

Cerulean City Gym

Effect: Each player pays 1 less C energy to retreat their active Misty
Pokemon.

Rating: 6.0
Reducing retreat costs are always good, but this effect surely isn't
game-saving.

Celadon City Gym

Effect: During each player's turn, before their attack, a player may choose
to discard an energy card attached to one of their Erika Pokemon. That
Pokemon is no longer Asleep, Confused, Paralyzed, or Poisoned.

Rating: 3.5
Worthless, even in an Erika deck. This card basically allows you to discard
an energy card to use Full Heal.

No Removal Gym

Effect: A player must dicard 2 cards from their hand in order to use an
Energy Removal or Super Energy Removal card.

Rating: 8.0
Superb in a deck with no ER or SER. Whay else is there to be said?

The Rocket's Training Gym

Effect: Each player must discard 1 more C energy to retreat their active
Pokemon.

Rating: 8.5
A little more consistent then NRG, since it doesn't really keep you from
playing good cards. This card itself is great in a deck with SERs, slowing
the opponent down. Plus, it's a great candidate to knock off NRG!

So there's my two cents. Catch ya later! ;)

I'm now accepting deck fixes! Send those decks to:
