Prop 2T, Prop 15 - should we allow these new formats into the scene or
not? That is the questions many trainers seem to be debating these days, and
quite frankly I'm getting pretty sick about it. I mean sure, we all believe
that the game should be competitive and the amount of Wiggly/Hay (or any
other Hay) has been dominating the tournaments, causing a major scene to all
other trainers that have cool deck ideas. (Muk's no Retreat deck, or The
untouchable Snorlax deck (you know, that fun deck that has Drowzees, and Dark
Glooms to waste your opponent with), for example.
All this attention has caused allot of friction between those who like
the Props, and those who don't. IMO, unless this problem is solved soon there
will be total chaos between these two groups. When this problem is solved, a
Props Suck! or Hays Suck! will occur and what may have been two great Pokemon
styles will be split up forever. If this happens, both styles of gameplay
will be hurt by the absence of the other.
So what should be done? I dunno what Wizards will finally choose
(personally, I think they should restrict the number of BBPs that don't
evolve to 2-3, and restrict the big Marshmallow), but as for the seperation
of groups, that can be stopped. Respect other peoples opinions. I don't care
if "Yeah well, the hays are showing us no mercy", or "Why should the format
be changed? That's totally bogus!". Either way you see it, each persons style
is what helps make the deck unique. With the comming of new sets, hopefully
new styles of decks will be born. I hope these new innovations will add to
the format and have people do new things (like actually using an evolution
other than Wiggly!).
