Hey everyone! I haven't written a card strategy in a while, so I thought I'd
post an interesting combo I tried with my Stall deck. It seemed to work quite
well. The combo is: Lt. Surge + Scoop Up.
First, let's take a look at Lt. Surge.

Trainer: Lt. Surge
You can play this card only if you have at least 1 basic Pokémon card in your
hand.  Put a Basic Pokémon card from your hand into play as your Active
Pokémon. Put your old Active Pokémon onto your Bench. (You can't play this
card if your bench is full.)

Trainer: Scoop Up
Choose 1 of your Pokémon in play and return its Basic Pokémon card to your
hand. (Discard all cards attached to that card.)

Here is what the situation was like:
My active Pokémon is a Chansey with no damage counters on it. My benched
Pokémon are an Alakazam with no energy cards attached to it, and a Chansey
with 10 damage counters on it (Ack!). My opponent's active Pokémon is a promo
Mewtwo with one Psychic energy attached, and his bench consists of a
Wigglytuff and a Scyther with no energy on either of them. (sigh! same old
deck here.). As an attempt to annoy me, my opponent uses a Gust of Wind and
brings out Alakazam, knowing it can be killed in one shot next turn (plus, my
Chansey could only take 10 damage a turn from Mewtwo). He then uses Energy
Absorption. This didn't look good, until I Computer Searched for a Scoop Up.
I then realized I could pull this off. I Scoop Up my heavily damaged Chansey,
and play Lt. Surge to place a fully-healed Chansey as my active, and return
Alakazam to the bench. This saved the game, as I managed to stall long enough
for my opponent to deck out!
This strategy is very situational, but still quite effective!

And I'd like to add something. Stop sending in Top 5/Top 10 lists when you
just list Electabuzz, Wigglytuff, Hitmonchan, Mewtwo, Scyther, etc.!  Card
strategies are supposed to be useful or at least prove something. We already
KNOW that Electabuzz has high HP and possible 40 damage on the second turn!
We KNOW Wigglytuff is extremely powerful! Send in something that actually
proves something, and something no one has posted a zillion times already.
