These are some good tips on what to use when facing an
opponent.

First off, learn the weaknesses and advanteges of each
type. I don't mean grass has an atvantage over water,
I mean that, for example, fire Pokemon attack swiftly,
but use lots of energy. I mean Charmander's.
Charmeleon's, or Charizards attacks (one of them)burn
up an energy for use of that attack. That means you
need either lot's of good trainers that will help you
or alot of energies.

Second, master each individual Pokemon's attacks. For
example, Dragonair's Hyper Beam will destroy some
energy of your oppenents active Pokemon. Now you know
that he could be usefull, for say in Blackout, along
with all the Energy Removals.

Third,(the hardest part) study both the types and
individual attacks or your oppenent. You must do this
quickly, so you can win. This is also the most
improtant part of being a great Pokemon Card player.

Basicly, use common sense. Use the pre-constructed
decks as a guide, then follow your own oppinions. Good
Luck!
