Hi everyone at Pojo.com! Today I will give an article.

Firstly I have to say that I don't get the chance to play the pokemon TCG
that often, but I still know almost everything about it, but today was an
exception. I had a game against this guy who used cards like Misty's Seaking
and Oddish while I was using my raindance deck with 4 blastoises, 2 dewgongs
and 2 laprases. As you might have guessed, I won, and I got a non-holo Mr.
mime for winning.

Anyway the main point of this article is to speak about all of the Fossil
Cards. (I will only give the card stats for Neo 2 Fossils.)
-------------------------------------------------
NEO 2

Omanyte
Type: Stage 1 Fighting Pokemon (Evolves from Mysterious Fossil)
LV.21, HP 50
[Pokemon Power] Fossil Revival

heads, search your deck for an Evolution card that can be evolved from a
Mysterious Fossil, and put it on your Bench. (An evolution card played in
this way is considered a Basic Pokemon.) This power can't be used if this
Pokemon is Asleep, Confused or Paralyzed, or your Bench is full.
W: Wrap: 10 Effect: Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokemon is now
Paralyzed.
-C Retreat G Weakness No. 138 (Common)

Omastar Type: Stage 1 Fighting Pokemon (Evolves from Omanyte)

damage and the Defending Pokemon is now Paralyzed.
WWW: Thorn MAX: 20+ Effect: Flip 1 coin for each W Energy attached to this
Pokemon. This attack does 20 more damage times the number of heads.
-CC Retreat G Weakness (No) Resistance No. 139 (Uncommon)

Kabuto Type: Stage 1 Water Pokemon (Evolves from Mysterious Fossil)
LV.21, HP 50
[Pokemon Power] Family Revival
Effect: Once during your turn (before your attack), you may flip a coin. If
heads, search your deck for a card named Kabuto and put it on your Bench. (A
Kabuto played in this way is considered a Basic Pokemon). This power can't
be used if this Pokemon is Asleep, Confused or Paralyzed, or your Bench is
full.
FC: Combine Power: 10+ Effect: Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 10
more damage times the number of Omanyte, Omastar, Kabuto and Kabutops in
play.
-C Retreat G Weakness (No) Resistance No. 140 (Common)

Kabutops Type: Stage 2 Water Pokemon (Evolves from Kabuto)

Reviews: FOSSIL

Ok, First it's Fossil Omanyte. This card is bad in every way possible except
its Pokemon Power is great. However it is not worth using for this alone as
Sabrina's Abra, Rocket's Sneak Attack, etc can all do this.

Now Omastar. He has 70 HP - not great for a stage 2. Both attacks are not
great. Not good in Raindance either, so forget using Omastar.

Kabuto - terrible. This is the worst stage 1 in existance, with a tripe
attack and power. If you play Kabutops, go with breeder instead.

Kabutops - This is actually quite good. I used him on the TCG for Gameboy
and he worked quite well. Even though he only has 60 HP, both attacks are
decent and can heal himself, making up for the low HP. Also, if you use
breeder instead of Kabuto you don't have to worry about your opponent
getting prizes for killing lower forms of it.

Aerodactyl - This is great! It stops all evolutions with its power, which is
very good, and he also has an OK attack for 30 damage (kills unevolved
jigglypuffs in one hit!) Highly reccommended.

Mysterious Fossil - Not great, but needed (unfortunately)

NEO 2

Omanyte - this time he is fighting. I like that poke power! It will be great
in Fossil Decks, which I am going to explain later in this report. An okay
attack too.

Omastar - Both attacks are good, and has higher HP. Could actually be quite
good.

Kabuto - Power is not as good as Omanyte's, but sets it up for the attack.
Again, could be good in Fossil decks.

Kabutops - The best thing ever, (and that includes sliced bread.) 90 HP is
good, especially for a Fossil Pokemon, and first attack is very good, but
the second is just unbelieveable. This card is as broken as Dark Jolteon. I
want this to be played.

Evolution Egg, well it requires a coin flip, but could be great in Fossil
decks and could get a turn one Aerodactyl, with erika's dratini could be
unstoppable.

So, from the information we have collected, let's see what we've got.
(All Stage 1s that evolve from Mysterious Fossil have a Pokemon power.)

Top 10 Fossil Pokemon

1. Kabutops (Neo2)
2. Aerodactyl (Fossil)
3. Omastar (Neo2)
4. Kabutops (Fossil)
5. Omanyte (Neo2)
6. Kabuto (Neo2)
7. Omanyte (Fossil)
8. Omastar (Fossil)
9. Kabuto (Fossil)
10. Mysterious Fossil

An idea of mine was to combine the best of the Fossil Cards into a deck with
some strategy. Here is my attempt...

A Fossil Deck

Pokemon:18
3 Kabutops (Neo2)
4 Kabuto (Neo2)
3 Omastar (Neo2)
4 Omanyte (Neo2)
4 Kangaskhan

Trainers: 21
3 Computer Search
3 Pokemon Trader
3 Professor Oak
4 Bill
4 Mysterious Fossil
4 Evolution Egg

Energy: 21
13 Fighting
8 Water

It might not be great but if you get out Kabutops or Omastar early it should
do reasonably well. Make use of Pokemon Powers. I don't normally reccomend
two different stage 2s in a deck but if you combine the Poke powers it could
be good together.

After that long article, if you have anything to say then send me an e-mail:

PS. I am now taking deck fixes. I know a lot about this game, and if you
e-mail me your deck, I might be able to fix it for you. I might put the
fixed decks on my website. E-mail me for more details.
