Hello there Pojo i want to know
one question " Why do poeple NOT know how to build
decks!!!!!!!!!!!?" well heres an article to help people out so maybe
there decks would do good for those people with out good decks!!!!!!!!!
Pokemon selection
theese are some basic rules for basic pokemon selection
most basic pokemon can get killed ASAP so they can't evovle!!! boo hoo:(:(:(
so heres are lst of rules that every basic pokemon must have to put them in a
deck no matter how great there basics
Basic pokemon( the ones that evolve NOT BBP's ) theese
pokemon are the back bone to a deck these must be in if there evolution is and
no matter how great the evolution they must have one or more of theese
charecteristics
1. every basic pokemon must have
atleats 50 HP
2. every basic pokemon must have a cheap and strong
attack( one energy for 20 or 2 energy for 30 BASE damage)
3. every basic pokemon must have a stall attack (
confusion sleep or paralysis for one energy with or witho out damage or 2
energy with damage)
or any combo of the three
now that were done with basic pokemon that evolve lets
get into to what makes you stick basics in EVOLUTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Evolutions
evolution pokemon can be very usefull and fast but i
have rules on theese too my main rule is NO CHARZARD the discard 2 energy
meening that you can't do it 2 turns in a row giving all the pokemon that can
kill him in one shot a BIG chanse too KO him but anyway here are the list of
rules that they must have one or more of to be used
1. have to be able to attack twice in a row even if its
a diffrent attack
2. to have a cheap retreat ( 1-2 energy)OR have 2 or
more DODRIO in the deck to cut back on the retreat
3. all stage 1 must have atleats 70 Hp all stage 2's
must hyave atleast 80 hp
4. all attacks must follow this code
1 energy 20 damage
2 energy 30 damage
3 energy 40-50 damage
4 energy 60 + damage
theese rules are really nice to have cause a lot of the
ost famous pokemon don't follow theese rules But frot he retreat rule theres a
loop hole eathier the deck revolves around him or he is used as a banch warmer
and theres also a loop hole for the HP ruel they have a stall or damage
removal attack so yes Kabuto and Kabutoips still pass and for the damage of an
attack rule hguess what a loop hole if the atrtack kills the OPPONENTS BENCH,
has a good and usefull effect or might do the damage they can also have
2 attacks one which follows and one which doesn't and still have it work so
like machoke his first attack most of the time will do almost nothing BUT his
second attack does fit so he fits in the attack rule
BBP's (big basic pokemon ie: ones that never
evolve currently NEo's pre-evolutions and evoultions don't count)
Theese are the speed of the deck the ones you use
before you attack a few people like the speed and power they get at the
beginning of there deck with BBP's that they make a deck with all BBP's or
almost all. these pokemon must have one or more of theese carecteristics
1. they must have a 1 energy ( DCE does count as a
energy if its in your deck)attack
2 they must have a multy energy attack that does 30 to
50 damage or that has the powert to do 30-50 damage
3. they must follow the rules of the evolving basics
now that we have pokemon selection on to trainer
selection
While selecting pokemon you should of been thinking
about a what the goal to do is ex: if the goal is to stall then evolve then
your trainers have to follow this princible there are no BAD trainers if
teamed up with pokemon i know someone who puts 4 omanyte and no omasatr in his
deck comboed with lass and imposter oak giving all three cards reson to be in
the deck the omanyte checks to see if you should use the trainers
energy selection you should NOT go around with a multy
color deck ( one with 3 or more colors) and do NOT go around with decks with
wrong types of energys like having a thunder fire deck with grass and psychic
energy cause its useless and finally do NOT go around counting how much energy
all your pokemon need and then adding them up so if your deck has 4 hitmonchan
4 hitmonlee and 4 chansey only ( which ni do not suggest doing) don't say fine
use 40 energy use nergy based one the amounts
for 16 pokemon use 24 energy
for 18 pokemon use 26 energy
for 21 pokemon use 28 energy
cause this seems to always work also for 2 color decks
look at the amount of energy or pokemon form one of the 2 elements to determin
if you must divied the energy as you play test you might change the divison or
add energy searches and retrevials
so you know how to build decks so here are some well

this deck has problems i know but it's built around
speed an it works great also i love dodrio cause if your opponent injutes
dodrio then dodrio injures you actuall i know someone who uses a dodrio/
dugtrio COMBO use earth quake to injure dodrio then rage away wierd huh
