Hey Pojo,

I would like to take a few minutes of everybody's time to complain about certain annoyances.  I made a list, so you can read my complaints in the order that you want to.  (Note:  I'll warn you right now readers... it's VERY long).

1.  Poke-haters

I get so @#$^@! pissed off at Poke-haters for various reasons.  First of all, they've never played the TCG game, which is really good, since LOTS of people play it.  Second, they think that the TCG game is meant for little kids.  A NOTE TO ALL POKE-HATERS--THE TCG GAME IS MADE FOR AGES 10 AND UP.  Third, they act like they're too "grown-up" to play pokemon cards, so they look down upon you and treat you like a kid.  Sometimes that's even unintentional.

2.  People who don't know the rules

What the HECK is wrong with those people that don't even know the rules?!  When it's his turn, he forgets to draw up a card, or places 2 energies in one turn w/o using Rain Dance.  I also get annoyed with people about STATUS effects.  Most people don't realize it, but if a pokemon is asleep, the person (trainer, if you prefer) is allowed to flip to see if his pokemon is awake after EACH person's turn.  This is what makes sleeping attacks nearly useless.  Same thing with poison. You're supposed to place a damage counter on the poisoned pokemon after EACH person's turn. So after your turn ends, then the opponent turn ends, you should have added 2 damage counters (4 if poisoned by toxic from nidoking) by now.  There are also annoying people who think that a pokemon can only have one status effect at a time.  I'm talking about being poisoned.  A pokemon is allowed to be confused and anything else (sleep, paralyzed, poisoned).  I also hate it when people don't even read the trainer cards correctly, and then play the trainer wrong.  Do you even know how to read?!  I should get off this reason before i EXPLODE like Electrode.  :)

3.  Parents

When the TCG game started up and the booster packs soared, many parents became overprotective of their children's cards.  Some of them would even hold the cards for the child and not let him/her trade w/o permission.  What is wrong with these parents???  It's not like EVERYBODY is trying to rip off each other.  Most of the time, a person who wants to trade will try to make a fair trade as possible, even if the person that is being traded with doesn't know much about cards.  Of course, I am excluding those extreme jerks that actually try to do this.

4.  Media

The media has taken a lot of the fun out of the TCG game.  Newspapers/TV/Magazines and so on attempt to define Pokemon and the craze and other stupid info.  How retarded is this?  Have you ever read one of these articles about pokemon?  It makes me sick about what they write about pokemon.  They make it sound like a curse.  They also describe the strategy of pokemon very badly (an extended version of Paper, Rock, Scissors???).  I have to admit, the gameboy game isn't too exiting after played once, but it doesn't mean that the TCG game is boring.
Then, the media screams out that the TCG game isn't good to have, since many people are ripped off and there are many fake cards out there.  What are the chances of someone getting ripped off by getting a fake card?  Hey sherlock, you don't even need some PhD or some dumb guidelines on how to find counterfeit cards.  It's simple:  most cards that are duplicated are the rares and holos.  If it is a base set holo and it doesn't have a holo, guess what?  It's fake.  If it's jungle or fossil, you can just tell by the material the card is made out of.  the writing and/or the picture can also give away a fake card really easily.
I also hate it when they try to predict when the "Pokemon craze" will end.  Who cares?!  The longer it stays, the better.

5.  Judges/Pokemon Gym Leaders

Most of them are stupid and don't even know the rules completely.  Heck, if they're gym leaders, then I should be a GOD in Pokemon TCG.  I don't even want to get into this subject anymore becuase they're soooooo stupid.

6.  Team Rocket Expansion Set

I hear everybody raving about how the Team Rocket set is soooooo good.  I've got news for you; it sucks like @#$%.  Most of the 2nd stage pokemon have only 60-80 HP.  How pathetic is that?  I could probably get a stage 1 from another expansion set or the base set and kick butt.  Also, a lot of the pokemon are dependent on coin flips. There are a few exceptions, however.  The Blastoise isn't half-bad, and a few other cards.  However, what's worse is that some of them have coin flips like:  "Flip a coin.  If heads, this attack does nothing."  That sucks like crazy!!! Why would anyone want to take the chance on such a move?  I know that I wouldn't.  The TCG game is already involved with chance more than enough.

7.  Base Set 2

Straight out--Base Set 2 sucks.  It's just a way for the Wizards people to get more money.

8.  11:33 ratio of getting a holofoil in your booster packs

Some people are probably wondering, "Why is he writing about this?  It doesn't seem that bad."  Guess what?  It is really bad.  I'm comparing to the Japanese TCG.  In the Japanese version, you have a 1 in 2 chance of getting a holofoil  That's WAY better than 1 to 3.  Again, this is just a way for the Wizards people to get more money.  But for this reason, I'm not only ranting for myself, I'm ranting for every person that raises his hopes up in searching for a holofoil in a booster pack.  Most of the booster packs I've gotten only had rares (6 Holofoils out of 25 booster packs).

9.  People who complain about Archtype decks

What's the point of you complaining about archtype decks?  Just becuase you lost to them sooooooo many times doesn't mean that you have to become bitter and angry at every single person with this type of deck.  If you spent long, hardworking hours on your deck and soon find out that it is easily crushed by an Archtype deck, I'm sorry.  But, no offense, that might possibly mean that your deck sucks.  A good deck is always designed to have defenses against many types of decks.  Most people also complain about the Archtype decks becuase they have never used one.  I personally have never used an archtype deck, but I can see the logic that is involved in archtype decks.  You might not see much creativity in an Archtype deck since everybody uses the same concept, but every single deck usually has its own little imaginative parts.  If you were beaten by an archtype deck, find out how you lost, and bet that person the next time instead of complaing about archtype decks on pojo.com.

10.  Ash Ketchum

He is the most retarded Pokemon trainer in the whole entire universe.  He is arrogant, stuck up, and just plain stupid.  I do have to admire him for his bravery in most of his episodes, but I can laugh at him many more times.  On the first episode, he acts like as if the Pikachu is his pet and that he can just stand there, squeezing it.  If he doesn't treat his pokemon like equals when he first meets them,  OF COURSE they're not going to obey him.
He is also stuck up.  He started to brag to everyone that he had two badges, until he was slaughtered by A.J.  He also thinks that he deserves a badge for getting charizard to help Blaine fill the crack with rocks when team rocket tried to capture magmar.  The second and fourth badges were won because of dumb reasons. He shouldn't have received those badges. He gets badges for the dumbest reasons.  He probably wouldn't have even been able to beat Erika.  The only time when he seems humble is when he's around Gary.
He is extremely stupid.  He has almost no pokemon strategy.  He just sends out his pokemon and hopes for the best.  He sent a caterpie against a Pigeotto.  He also sent out a Metapod against a Metapod.  There are so many other stupid choices that he made, that it is impossible to think of them all.  The only reason why he wins so many times is because he has special pokemon.  Speaking of special pokemon, why didn't they make Ash's pokemon have more realistic stats and have them act like more "normal" pokemon?

11.  Point system

I have five words to all point-rating people:  THE POINT SYSTEM REALLY SUCKS.  Here's an example:

Alakazam Vs. Jigglypuff

                                        Alakazam        Jigglypuff
HP                                        80                    60            Alakazam wins 1 pt.
Evolution                              2nd                Basic          Jigglypuff easier to bring out than Alakazam.  Jigglypuff 1 pt.
Accesibility                          Holo             Common       Jigglypuff is much easier to get.  Jigglypuff 1 pt.
Highest Attack                  30 damage       20 damage     Alakazam can do more damage.  Alakazam 1 pt.
Weakness                          Psychic           Fighting        Both have a weakness.  But Alakazam is weak to itself.  Jigglypuff 1 pt.
Resistance                           none              Psychic        Jigglypuff 1 pt.
Retreat Cost                            3                    1              Jigglypuff can get back in the bench much faster.  Jigglypuff 1 pt.
Pokemon Power              Damage Swap      None          Alakazam 1 pt.

TOTAL POINTS:                      3                    5

Jigglypuff wins! (yeah, right)

There are many ways to rate cards, but the point system is extremely horrible.  It bases it's points in an equal ratio.  Depending on the person, certain aspects of a card with make a player choose one card than another.  For some people, they want pokemon with high HP.  Others want one with high attacks.  NEway, how could you even compare Alakazam and Jigglypuff?  It's like comparing Strawberry Jam and tomato sauce.  Both are used for different purposes, so you just can't compare them.  Same thing with Charizard, Blastoise, and Venusaur.  There is  NO POINT in comparing which is better.

12.  People who hide their cards

This really annoys me.  Some people hide their energies under their pokemon, or he hides his cards in his hand and puts them somewhere else.  Even though the rule book doesn't say so, it is a form of cheating in the game.  It's kinda like hiding a football under your shirt and making a touchdown.

13.  Holo version and a non-holo version of a card.

This applies to Jungle and Fossil edition for the TCG game.  It is just plain retarded.  Again, WOTC is just trying to get more money from collectors trying to buy lots of booster packs.  I think it is really annoying, and it just makes telling the difference between a real card and a fake card harder.

14.  Kids w/ bent holos, but still expect to trade another holo for theirs

This is just plain dumb.  Why would anyone trade a bent holo for a holo?  If a holo is bent, it has the worth of about an uncommon or a common.  I also get annoyed with people who have lots of rares to trade, but a majority of the rares are in bad condition.

-Whew!-  I finally got all of that off my chest.  I've never ranted before on this site, so don't think I'm a picky person.  I actually don't complain a lot, but this time i just had to.  Well, if some part of this list applies to you in one way or another, stop it.  Thanks.  You would make a lot of other people's lives much, much easier.
