Hi all. I notice that all these "underrated" deals popping up everywhere
have a lot of the same cards as them. I can't explain anymore, just listen,
er, read. BTW, I play all these cards in my many decks and I know how they
work, so don't go nuts. This is from experience.

Lass- This card is OK, but not as good as people say. I play Stall alot and
I use Lass alot, so I know from experience. It works, but not always. I'd
say it's worth putting no more than 2 in a stall deck and NOT using them to
nullify Trainers. It doesn't work. If you're that desperate to crush
Trainers, use Imp. Oak or Psyduck, but not Lass. It just don't work.

Farfetch'd- This guy is, granted, one of (if not THE) strongest uncommons,
at least for Basics. However, 50 HP doesn't go as far as it used to. If you
can get 2-3-4 of these guys pumped and out, more power to you, the game is
half yours. And if you get even 1 out in early game, ESPECIALLY with a DCE,
he just plain rocks vs. non-electric. However, this duck gets simmered in
leeks darn fast after early game if not coupled with lotsa good trainers or
used in force. 50 HP just can't hold a candle to a pumped 'Toise, or even a
movie Mewtwo. I love him, but he's losing effectiveness for now, especially
with all the 'Buzzes running around out there.

Mr. Mime: This is the first card I've seen to complete it's "life cycle" and
start over except maybe Charizard. It works like this: a card comes out, and
It's a good card, and lots of people use it. Then one of two things happens.
Either a card comes out to totally metagame it, or people see lots of people
using it and build decks and strategies tailored to kill it. Either way, the
card's usage declines. Then, people stop using the strategies for killing it
so much, people realize this, and the card comes back into popularity. And
the cycle repeats. Well, anyway, this card is good but is REALLY
situational. One, yes ONE Switch can bring out a soon-to-be-evolved for free
and crush the clown. Heck, even Devolution Spray! UNless facing a Psychic
deck with NO colorless, Drowzee, Abra, Gastly (f) or Haunter (f) this guy
will last a bit, but after Blastoise (or whatever) #1 is dead, so's your
Mimer. Good card, but I'd never put more than 2 in any deck because you WILL
draw them as your only basics, and for the earlier reasons. I only have ONE
in my deck and I get it as my only starting basic too often to count. OK,
but not as "invincible" as we'd like, esp. with all the new Muk decks
around.

Koffing- This guy is good, but without good Trainers or luck should ONLY be
used for support, Confusing them, then Poisoning and letting someone else do
the dirty work. Good coinflips work in your favor but not often as we'd all
like. Consider a few for your Grass deck, but not too many unless you are
*shudder* obsessed with Weezings.

Aerodactyl: This guy's OK, but people are getting smarter. they are using
more Breeders, Searches, etc. to get out before the stone birdie. Although
Breeders die to the new AeroMew decks, people also notice that the
Basics/Stage 1's are good too. For example Kadabras work good if 'Kazam
can't get out, not Damage Swapping, but just KILLING and CRUSHING. It
doesn't have to be shiny to be good, folks. Besides, he isn't hard to kill
if you can get him up to the front anyway.

Now, here are a few underrateds of my own:

Kabuto: Why do you all hate him so much? If you can get him out early enough
he ROCKS! (no pun intended). He totally crushes all the 10 attacks of the
early basics and coupled with Potions and Defenders, he is king of the early
game.

Base Magmar: Oh, this guy is GOOD. Suicidal, yes, but enough to take out 2-3
guys when used right. Try him, you'll see.

OK, I've been typing long enough and you've been reading long enough. Later
Pojoheads!

See ya on the Pojo,
-Dr. Andonuts
