Haymakers: Why can't we just get along?

Why all the anti-haymaker madness lately? Finally a simple (or complicated,
depending how yours is built), easy to build deck, which is devastating at
the tourney scene. Why can't you people accept what people like? Knowing all
other archetypes are much like Hay as they have EXACTLY THE SAME Pokémon in
EVERY deck. Haymaker is currently the most varied of the archetypes, as they
hardly follow the original pattern!
Once more, too many people say it's boring either usually: A. Can't play
them, B. have been beaten horribly by one, C. Are just some snotty 'hate
what's popular' gen-x'er, who contradicts themselves by playing another
archetype. Satoshi's article on the ban on archetypes and such proves many
good points, but I feel Hay's been taking the most abuse lately. I do agree,
I now really loathe Scyther, its boring and only works to it's fullest in a
mono-grass deck. It has a slow overall start and no damaging attack to use
while powering in a deck with no plant energy. Hitmonchan is one I still
haven't given up on, but I can't place him because of the mantis Pokémon
flying around. You can't dispute the power of Electabuzz, though, as it is
the fastest basic in the game.
Next, it's easy to bash them when a lot of people play them, but I'm sure
if you found a way to make a really great one and a bunch of people played
the archetype you play, you to would say that "Swap is boring" or "Blastard
is so common and annoying" or "Wiggly-cream-puff is now appearing in a lot
of decks and it sucks". All you people who are griping and moaning about how
often Haymakers appear should quit bitching and play the game. If you hate
them so much, then why do you contradict yourself and play a swap deck, as
if you even turn to the Pojo deck reports, you'll see about 15% more swap
decks then Haymakers (also labeled 'gaymakers', which doesn't make sense as
playing a deck won't make you gay, but that's not something I know anything
about, so I'll just stop while I'm ahead). I'd also like to point out that
it's a children's game and that all people around 15 and up are constantly
ripping on little kids cards, here's some news, How hard is it to make fun
of a little kid or how mature is it to make them feel bad about the way they
do things? I thought so. I also know that I am an older player, but I'm not
one who tries to act tough and rip on archetypes, I just find a way to stop
them (which is what you should do as actions speak louder then words, ya
mook')
Finally, I'd like to add that if you have any gripes on my views or
applause, I take both equally, as most people ripping on haymakers are too
cowardly to respond to your mails about their views on the 'fastest growing'
deck type currently around. Any response should be sent to
insomniac_gamer@hotmail.com.
