No Hand Chaos V 1.0
Aticle by: Tyler F.

I decided that if Team Rocket's Trap came out like it
was, then I would quit pokemon. But now, I guess I'll
give one last article before I quit.
So, you have probably heard a lot of hype about Team
Rocket's Trap, Hallucination Gym, etc. Well, now that
it doesn't look like Wizards is going to do anything
about those broken cards, I have decided to make my own
deck with them. The object of this deck is to use the
overpowering combo of Team Rockets Trap (TRT), Rockets
Sneak Attack (RSA), and Imposter Oaks revenge (IOR) to
reduce your opponent's hand to zero cards FIRST TURN.
Then when they are left high and dry, it's time for
Hallucination Gym, which makes anyone flip a coin each
time they try to play a trainer. Then you use
Electabuzz and his soon-to-be best friend TR Zapdos to
decimate the opposition with quick damage. Before I go
any further, here is the deck list:

No Hand Chaos V 1.0

4 Team Rocket Zapdos (Gym)
4 Electabuzz

4 Professor Oak
4 Bill
4 Computer Search
4 Item Finder
4 Team Rocket's Trap (Gym)
4 Rocket's Sneak Attack
4 Imposter Professor Oak's Revenge
3 Scoop Up
2 Remove Prohibition Gym (Gym)
2 Hallucination Gym (Gym)
2 Gust of Wind
2 Nightly Garbage Run

13 Lightning Energy

I have already seen many versions of this deck popping
up over the internet, and this deck should be the most
popular archetype to play after Gym 1 comes out. Before
I tell further about the strategy of this deck, here
are the translations for the Gym cards in this deck:

TR Zapdos
Basic Pokemon
Lighting Type
Weakness: none
Resistance: Fighting
Attack: [L] Plasma (20)
You may search your discard pile for a L energy and
attack it to TR Zapdos
Attack: [LLLC] Electrocution (70)
Does 10 damage to the defending pokemon and 10 damage
to Zapdos for each L energy attached to this card.

Team Rocket's Trap
Trainer Card
Flip a coin. If heads, choose three cards randomly from
your opponent's hand and they shuffle those cards into
their deck.

Hallucination Gym
Trainer Card (Stadium)
Whenever a trainer card is played, the player playing
it flips a coin. If heads, they can use that card as
normal. If tails, their opponent may use the card. If
the card is a Trainer that is played as a pokemon
(ie. Clefairy Doll) or is attached to a Pokemon (ie.
Pluspower) or requires a discard (ie. Computer Search)
and you cannot pay its cost, they may not use that
card.

Remove Prohibition Gym
Trainer Card (Stadium)
If either player plays Energy Removal or Super Energy
Removal cards, that player must first discard two cards
from their hand.

Alright. This deck relies a little on luck. ItemFinder makes this deck work
more consistently though.It is
not hard AT ALL to reduce your opponents hand to three
cards or even zero on turn one. Here is how you do it:
First off, you need to use Oaks Revenge, which makes
their hand go to four cards. Then you need to use RSA
to remove yet another card from their hand. If they
don't have a trainer card in their hand, than that is
even better, because that pokemon or energy will be
no threat to you. Then you want to use the "most broken
card ever", hence Team Rocket's Trap, and hope to get
heads so there hand is now at either one or zero. If
you don't get heads, Item Finder for it back, or go
searching for another one. It is not hard at all to get
three TRT off on turn one with all the card drawing and
deck manipulation in here. So this is the tricky part.
When their hand is cut down to one or less, you need to
consider using Hallucination Gym. Be wary that this
could hurt you when playing trainers too, but if you
have done your job then Hallucination Gym will
absolutely kill your opponent's deck. Most decks today
use a lot of trainers, so this will stop the opponent
dead in their tracks.
This deck is also weak against
the opponent dropping a Hallucination Gym on you, but
to tell you the truth, it probably won't hurt you that
much. Because if they drop one turn one, that means
that they are playing a deck with low trainers, they
are playing the same deck as you, or they have a really
sorry deck. Obviously, a deck like yours can beat you
if it goes off first turn, but a deck with not many
trainers probably won't stand much of a chance. Why,
you ask? Because they have just gotten themselves into
an all out brawl with Electabuzz and TR Zapdos- the
best basics in the game. And if you are still in
trouble, take a chance and play  Remove Prohibition Gym
and hope the coin flip lands in your favor. Remember,
when a Stadium Card is played, any other Staduim Cards
are discarded, so Hallucination Gym would be gone and
you could use trainers safely again.
This deck is going to become the best archetype
out there. I feel it coming. Many people may not use it
however because they may not know how to play the deck
so will just stick to Haymaker. Note: this deck will
rip apart haymakers. Damage Swap, Turbo Wiggly, and
Rain Dance won't have a chance to get their combo set
up. Thank you for reading this article.
