Hello, Adam here, today I have come to talk about two good battle
ideas:Staryu Vs. Charizard and Machop Vs. Chansey. Please post this, I have
never had anything posted on your site before, even though I have sent
things before.

First here are the cards' statistics. (You probably know them but just in
case you don't, here they are.)

Name:Staryu
Type:Water
Stage:Basic
HP:40
Weakness: Lightning
Resistance: none
Retreat cost:1
Attacks:

W - Slap (20)

---------------

Name:Charizard
Type:Fire
Stage:2, Evovles from Charmeleon
HP:120(!)
Weakness: Water
Resistance: Fighting
Retreat cost:3
Power: Energy burn - For the rest of your turn count all energy cards
attached to charizard as fire energy. This power cannot be used if Charizard
is asleep, confused, or paralysed.
Attacks:

RRRR - Fire Spin (100) Discard 2 energy cards attached to Charizard in order
to use this attack.

For example, you are playing pokemon cards and have a Staryu active. Your
opponent has a Charizard active. Neither pokemon has any energy on it, any
damage counters or any Defenders/Pluspowers. Neither player has any benched
Pokemon and will not be able to retreat. Let's be generous to the opponent
and say that you have only a single Water Energy in your hand, and your
opponent has 5 Fire Energy in his/her hand.

Turn 1. Your opponent puts a fire on Charizard and does nothing. You put a
water energy on Staryu and use slap for 40 damage.

Turn 2. Your opponent puts a fire on Charizard and does nothing. You use
slap for 40 damage.

Turn 3. Your opponent puts a fire on Charizard and does nothing. You use
slap for 40 damage and k.o. charizard.

This is an example of a common pokemon beating a rare pokemon. Here is
another battle:Machop Vs. Chansey.

Name:Machop
Type:Fighting
Stage:Basic
HP:50
Weakness: Psychic
Resistance: none
Retreat cost:1
Attacks:

F - Low kick (20)

---------------

Name:Chansey
Type:Colourless
Stage:Basic
HP:120(!)
Weakness: Fighting
Resistance: Psychic
Retreat cost:1
Attacks:

2 - Scrunch, Flip a coin. If heads prevent all damage done to Chansey during
your opponent's next turn. (Any other effects of attacks still happen.)

4 - Double-edge (80) Chansey does 80 damage to itself.

For example, you are playing pokemon cards and have a Machop active. Your
opponent has a Chansey active. Neither pokemon has any energy on it, any
damage counters or any Defenders/Pluspowers. Neither player has any benched
Pokemon and will not be able to retreat. Let's be generous to the opponent
(again) and say that you have only a single Fighting Energy in your hand,
while your opponent has 4 Psychic Energy in his/her hand.

Turn 1. Your opponent puts a psy on Chansey and does nothing. You put
fighting energy on Machop and low kick for 40 damage.

Turn 2. Your opponent puts a psy on Chansey and does nothing. You use low
kick for 40 damage.

Turn 3. Your opponent puts a psy on Chansey and does nothing. You use low
kick for 40 damage and k.o. chansey.

What I am trying to demonstrate is that you do not need rare cards to win
the game. They are helpful, but not essential.

E-mail me at hoodadam@hotmail.com, about pokemon cards and stuff like that.
PS my website which has info about pokemon cards is http://get.to/hoodlum.
