Yo!
What's up PoJo fans!
I'm Ryan Madison, and I wanted to share an important topic with some of you.
It has to do with tournaments that have just started running. If a
tournament is held all the time at a certain place, and you go there all the
time to test your tournament deck, that's just dandy. However, if the
tournament that you are going to is the first one in the whole region, then
you are in for some problems.

First of all, you get a certin play style at every tournaments. At some
tournaments, you have experts, and at some you have kids with more than 30
pokemon in a deck(some novices). At some tournaments, you have every player
cheat his or her @$$ off, and at some tournaments, you have really honest
players. This doesn't take much adjusting to.

What takes adjusting to is the metagame. Now I know there are some of you
who are saying, "What the heck's a metagame?". A metagame, or I should say
THE metagame, is the kind of cards that are used in a certain area. For an
example, you might have kids in the town who play with only haymakers, and
there are some that only play with Rain Dance. The metagame is what kind of
decks you will expect at the tournament/league.

I myself am in this problem right now, and it is really annoying. I've been
sitting around all of 2 days thinking of what kind of decks will be in the
tournament this weekend. This tournament is the first one that has been
shown at large. I have not been able to find any tournaments near me until
this one. Anyway, I think that it's best not to try and annihilate everybody
at the tournament on its first day functioning. You should take notes in
your mind about what decks are being used, and what the strategy behind them
is. Then, notice what your deck does affectively, and then notice what
really gives it trouble. If you do that, you can win the next tournament,
and most likely be far ahead of everybody else in the metagame.

Props to all of you for listening!
