In Pojo's March issue of Pojo's Pokemon Magazine there were spoilers
of the 9 card Promo Set.
The Grass Line seemed like the suckiest one, but then I took a second
look at it and found that it may have some strategy to it.
Here are the spoiler for the Grass family.

  Chikoriita 50HP(Grass)           Beiriifu    70HP(Grass)
                                   (Evolves from Chikoriita,Stage1)
(C)-If the defending pokemon      (GC)PoisonPowder-20-Flip a coin.If
attacks Chikoriita during         heads the defending pokemon is now
their next turn any damage        Poisoned.
  is reduced by 10.                (GGC)Mystery Powder-This pokemon
(GC)Rasor Leaf-20                  can't be Asleep,Confused,Parylyzed
Weakness:R                        or Poisoned during your opponent
  Resistance:none                   next turn-30 damage.
  Retreat:C                         Weakness-R
                                    Resistance:none
                                    Retreat:CC

  Meganiumu 100HP(Grass)
  (Evolves from Beiriifu,Stage 2)
Power-Scent of Herbs-This power is used when
this pokemon is put into play.Flip a coin. If
Heads remove all damage counters from all grass
  pokemon.(Including your opponents)
(GGCC)-40 damage-Flip a coin. If Heads the defending
  pokemon is now parylized.
  Weakness:R
  Resistance:none
  Retreat:CCC

Well, at first I thoght the only good card in the grass line was Beiriifu
for his second attack. But then I remembered A Japanese promo Kabuto that had
a pokemon power that stated once per turn  if you have an evolved pokemon
return its highest stage of evolution to your hand. If this is true you
could use Meganiumu's pokemon power once every turn.
Second lets take a look at the fire line. The fire line didn't look like a
very good line to me but I like the Stage 1 fire pokemon.

  Hinoarashi 40HP (Fire)         Magumarashi 60HP(Fire)
                                (Evolves from Hinoarashi,Stage1)
(C)-Leer-Flip a coin. If       (RC)-Ember-30 damage- You must discard
heads the defending pokemon    one fire energy card attached to this
can't attack Hinoarashi        pokemon in order to use this attack.
  during their next turn.       (RR)-Flare Wind-20 damage-choose a
(Benching ends this effect)    pokemon on your opponents bench. Then
(RC)-Swift-Don't apply weak-    flip 2 coins.This attack 10x the
ness, resistance, or any        number of heads to that pokemon.(Do
pokemon powers against this    not apply weakness or resistance
  Weakness:W                     for bench pokemon)
  Resistance:none                Weakness:W
  Retreat:C                      Resistance:none
                                 Retreat:C
  Bakufuun 100HP(Fire)
  (Evolves from Magumarashi,Stage2)
Power:Fire Boost-use once this card is put into
  play.Flip a coin.If heads search your deck
for up to 4 Fire energy cards and place them on
  this pokemon.
(RRRR)-Fire Cannon-80 damage-You must discard 3
fire energy cards attached to this pokemon in
order to use this attack. This attack deals 20
damage to each pokemon on each players bench.
(Don't apply weakness and resistance for bench
   pokemon)
  Weakness:W
  Resistance:none
  Retreat:CC

Megumarashi sound cool to me.2 energy for possible 40 split between two
pokemon. Bakyfuun's attack sounds really cool to me. Just use the Promo
Kabuto explained in the grass line to put tons of Fire Energy Cards on
Bakufuun. Then use Invisable Wall(from Gym 2-explanotion-None of your bench
pokemon can take damage until the end of your opponent's next turn)to
protect your bench pokemon. Promote Bakufuun and Fire Cannon. On the
following turn use Night Time Garbage Collection(From-Team Rocket-choose 3
pokemon,3 Trainers,or 3 Energy cards, show them to your opponent and shuffle
them into your deck)to take the discarded energy and shuffle it in to your
deck. Repeat this process.
My favorite was the water line. They had some very strategic attacks.

  Waninoko 40HP(Water)               Arigeitsu 80HP(Water)
                                     (Evolves from Waninoko,Stage1)
(C)Bite-10                         (CC)-Tackle-20 damage
(WC)Rage-10+-this attack does      (WWC)-Suction-50 Damage-Discard
10 damage plus 10 more for each    the top three cards of your deck.
  damage counter on Waninoko.        Weakness:G
  Weakness:G                         Resistance:none
  Resistance:none                    Retreat:CC
  Retreat:C

  Oodairu 120HP
  (Evolves from Arigeitsu,Stage2)
Power:Drench-As often as you like during your
  turn(before you attack)you may discard 1 water
energy card. You can't use this power if this
  pokemon is asleep,confused,or parylized.
(WWW)-Tidal Wave-10+-This attack does an addintional
10 damage for each water energy card in your discard
pile. After words, shuffle all the Water energy cards in
your discard pile back into your deck.
  Weakness:G
  Resistance:none
  Retreat:CCC

Oodairu is just great, being able to dish out un numberable amounts of
damage. Use the same strategy you did with Blastoise, except you discard the
Energies(Ya,know Professor Oak)and you won't deck because you shuffle them
into your deck. Arigeitsu isn't half bad anyway. Use Pokedex and get three
water Energy cards in front. Then use Suction. On your next turn evolve and
you can hit for atleast 40.

There are some Spoilers and Strategies I thought of. I hoped you like them.
