Hi everyone. I have been sucked into the Pokemon TCG craze. Most of the time,
It's a lot of fun. But there are some people who just ruin it. And Tourneys
are full of them.

For example, I went to at tournament at a local card store. I was playing
against some kid who was about 10 (I'm 14), and he had no clue how to play.
He had a Chansey my Poliwrath was beating, and he used a Pokemon Trader, put
Chansey into his deck, and put a (dum dum dum) Charizard where Chansey was. I
asked "What the heck was that?" he said that Trader works that way. I then
instructed him to (GASP) read the card. He nocited his mistake and quit. Then
he tried to get me kicked out for cheating! What the hell? There should be a
rule at tourneys, you need to know how to play. Not the stupid, tiny things
like memorizing everything about every card, but having a basic idea of the
game, and reading through the rulebook.

The next thing that ruins the TCG are the overprotective parents. They have
to OK all of the kids trades...Why!? Yes, there are people who rip off small
kids and they are the scum of the world. They ruined it for everyone, but
hell, they got that card! I Was going to trade a kid a base set Clefairy for a
japanese Evil Dragonite, and the parents came over and said "We don't let our
child trade unless we help. You shouldn't try to rip him off." Then they
left. OK.... I have a lot of trouble getting Clefairies out of packs, and I
think a rare holo for a rare holo is OK. But apparantly, some parents don't.

Yes, wizards of the coast has done some stupid things with the TCG. Base Set
2, taking Mew out of fossil, and having bad judges at their tournaments. Now
why on earth would they take Mew out of fossil? That would have had the sales
for that skyrocket, because everyone wants Mew! But with WOC, we probably
wouldn't be playing this. and yes, Hasbro screwed it up too. But remember,
IT'S A GAME! PLAY THE GAME, AND HAVE FUN!

Thanks
Ryoga~
