Hi Pojo,

I just want to share my two cents worth when it comes to picking the types
for you deck.  Also I will compare them

Fire:  Fire can be compressed into a simple phrase.  “Discard Energy”  Fire
type pokemon usually have a fairly high amount of hp.  Their attacks are
pretty strong but any strong fire attack usually means you have to discard
energy.  The hp helps but the amount of Raindance out there puts out the fire
of any Charizard quickly.  Fire are good if you are willing to put about 26
or more energy cards in your deck.

Water:  Water pokemon are “survivors”  They have a good amount of hp but not
quite as high as fire.  Water is the kind of type you can use in a deck if
you dont have 10 of every card made.  I am not counting raindance decks.
There are a fair amount of cards that are uncommons and are pretty good.  A
great example of this is GOLDUCK.  Great pokemon.  But thats beside the
point.  Ive already written an article on the glorious Golduck.  But In my
opinion water is one of the best.  NOTICE:  I didn’t say best!!!

Grass:  Based on the word “Evolution”  All basic grass pokemon w/ the
exeption of pinsir and scyther are weak and will die quickly.  A Haymaker
will laugh you to Texas if you play this type alone.  In my opinion there are
some of the coolest pokemon is this type but I would never use it.  Its not
worth it.  Too many basic weak pokemon.  Aerodactyl will stop you dead and
cold.  So if you want to have this a side type be my guest but beware it will
take an expert to master the grass type.  I dont know if even an expert can
master this type.  No offense to all you grass lovers out there but go hug
some more trees.

Psychic:  Annoying is basically the best word to describe the psy type.  You
have Mr. Mime the ultimate annoying pokemon.  You have drowzee, gastly F,
Haunter F, Mew, etc.  The one thing psy lacks is a large amount of hp.  The
average hp is approximately 50 or so.  Not to smooth.  But the status
changing is great.  Haunter Transparency is one cool pokemon power.  I use
AreoMew I in my deck.  Ultimate evolution stopper.  HAHA Grass.  Have you
noticed I love picking on grass?  Sorry Greenthumbs.  One thing I forgot.
Jynx!  Any Haymaker should be loaded w/ these.

Fighting:  No Haymaker is a Haymaker w/o  a hitmonchan or Hitmonlee.  The HP
is pretty good.  About 70 avg.  ABOUT!  dont email me telling me is like 80
or 60 I dont care its just an estimate.  Energy hogs is what these guys are.
If you want fighting put a lot more than you would for say Psy.  And if you
are going to have a fire ftg deck put about 30 energy cards in bc both of
those types are hogs.  The Jungle set helped this type for people who like
playing mostly w/ uncommons.  Like me for example.

Electric:  Heres a funny one.  “Suicidal Bench killers”  its true.  The stage
1 pokemon all have fairly average to little hp.  the beginning stages are
weak.  Electabuzz is the only really good card in this set. If it weren’t for
Electabuzz my Water Psy deck would be unstoppable.  Electric are a little too
suicidal for me.  I like the concept of Raichu F  but It seems a little
farfetched b/c it would be too hard to charge it up.  and not worth it.
Especially the magneton/elctode sets are real bad.

Colorless:  I dont have much to say about these but heres a concept.  Just
because it doesn’t have a white border doesn’t necessarily make it
noncolorless.  Scyther and Aerodactyl are fine examples of this.  I use both
in my deck.  Dont got much to say bout these guys accept for an avg hp.
Dragonair is worse than Golduck!  Just to inform you.

Please tell me what you think about this.  I dont care if you disagree but
please act human.  No Hatemail or such.  Its just a dang game.  Dont get so
kooky about it enough to swear at someone elses opinion.  Pojo please post
this.  I think it will prove very helpful to some people
