Oh come on. You know it, archetypes ruin the game. The sts was a bunch of
wiggly decks and haymakers and other incredbly annoying decks. I didnt go, my
decs didnt have a chance against a wigglydeck. The only time ive competed is
at the gym prerelease, and there were really some good matches there. The
only time i got killed in two turns wasnt against a haymaker, but when it was
magikarp v. pikachu. But that is all gone. No one is original anymore. I have
a half raindance deck, but im not satisfied.

What was there before archetypes? Color decks. That's the way it was
meant to be. Two colored decks with colorless. WIth my friends i have played
forty minute matches. And let me say this- the best part about the cards is
finding out how to use them in a new way and with other cards that will work.
Or maybe some variation on popular archetypes. Heres an example that looks
like it will work: A deck with 4 fs. moltres, 3 tr and blaine motres and
other stall pokemon. Then, you put in mr fuji and recycles, which are
commonly ignored. LAst, fill it with fire energy. The point of this deck will
be to get rid of the opponent's deck while you keep yours going with thinggs
like recycle and phoenix and rebirth.
I wait for the day archetypes are unpopular, and you cannot go three
rounds with out seeing nearly another of the same deck. Well, i hope some of
you archetype users get creative. Use those noggins you got there!
