here are my top 5 picks from the new gym leaders expansion.

1.Sabrina's Gengar.
look at the card, the first thing you'll notice is the beautiful art on
Gengar.  Pain amplifier is a kicking attack for one psy energy.  Then you can
use call of the night.  besides doing 40 it can really get you out of a jam,
such as a fully energized Venusaur.
2.Misty's Seaking.
For one water energy it does 10.  Deceant HP (70).  2 water energy does
thirty to defending and has the potential to do 10 to a benched pokemon of
your choice.  This is the ultimate fire deck killer.
3.Brocks Onix.(the common one)
100 Hp.  Bellow paralyzes which gives you time to attach energy.  Rock Throw
does a decent 30 damage.  I feel bad for those electric pokemon that will be 
victims of this card.
4.Misty's Seadra
70 HP.  Only needs one water energy to do 20 damage.  With Knockout Needle it
has the potential to do 90.  Finally another card besides Blastoice that can
kill Charizard in one hit.
5.Erikas Weepinbell(the one with two energy retreat cost.)
70 HP.  Can poisen and put the defending PokeMon to sleep at the same time. 
Does a decent 40 damage.
