A deck that doesn't lose to the Haymaker!

    Hey Pojo!
A little tip for all those newbies and people trying to make new
decks........

When making a deck, you always want to have a couple things in
mind..........
1). Do you have enough energies so you won't have problems with
S.E.R/E.R.s???/??
2).  Are your pokemon easily defeated by let's say a Machop? Hitmonchan?
Electabuzz?
3).  Damage, do you know what pokemon to use to deal enough damage so the
oppenent doesn't Scoop them up?
4).  Do you have card drawing trainers?
5).  Is your deck organized? Not just a whole buncha "pretty" cards put
together.
    And Last..........

Do you know when and when not to retreat, use trainers, or purposely
knock yourself out?????

Ok, here's the scoop.  When you start to make a deck, you always want to
think ahead.  You want to think about what are your Ups! and Downs.  When
fighting against a pokemon of your weakness, do you want to
stall/fight/retreat?  If they have a resistance(Scyther), do you want to let
your pokemon die? Or Scoop him up in time?  These things are very important
to think about.  Should you use that one last Prof. Oak to get the
pluspower?, or use a computer search?  Pokemon is a game of 40% skill, and
60% luck/draw.  You have to have the right cards and the right amounts.  If
you don't, you'll want to have what I call 'make-ups'.  For example, instead
of having more energies, I'd put in more Energy Retrievals.  Instead of more
Scoop-Ups, Prof Oaks, S.E.Rs, wouldn't you want an Item Finder?  With these
rules in mind, your deck shouldn't really have a problem with Haymaker.  I
recommend Scyther, Hitmonchan, Fossil Magmar, Scoop-Ups, E.Rs, S.E.Rs, Prof
Oak, Pluspower, Computer Search.  These cards help you win the game!
Especially the trainers!!!!!!

Remember, this is MY way of making a deck.  You shouldn't have to follow
every step of this, but most of them would REALLY help you.  Trust me, I've
won several tournies because I knew how my deck worked and what exactly was
in it!
