Dear Pokemaniacs:


I would like to take a few minutes of your time to address an issue that
has come up lately. The issue is "How to respond to someone's article
without being stupid and rude."


Thing you will want to remember:


1. People are posting thier opinions.


    People's opinions are different, and those differences in opinion
can lead to some very hot discussions. For example, if you have read the
article I wrote, "If I See Another Raindance Deck Ill Scream," you will
notice that I said some pretty inflamitory things. Those are my
opinions. You may have a different opinion than me. Things I believe may
not be what you believe. Our opinions may be different, but neither
opinion is WRONG.


2. Yelling and Screaming and Cursing and Threatening people via Email is
a stupid thing.


    You may not agree with what someone is saying in an article--but
don't send them an email saying you're going to Kick their butt, or that
they're an idiot or whatever. Not only do you sound stupid, but if they
want, they can come after you legally (threatening someone over the
internet IS a crime)


3. Check your spelling and grammar.


    People who send me emails full of spelling errors and bad grammar
tell me 2 things:
    o they don't really care about what they are saying
    o they aren't particularly smart =]


I don't mind getting emails where people tell me thier opinion. I like
it, and respond to every email I get. But, don't be dumb about it--I
don't like reading insults and cusswords and threats (I don't think
anyone does.)
