I kind of like fire, despite people saying that it is the worst. The problem I see with fire it is EXTREMELY hard for newbies to play. Fire involves more strategy that any other color IMO. Fire's discarding attacks, though dealing high damage, are not very efficaint against weaker Pokemon. Let's take an good example, the OTHER big red retard (hehe) CHARIZARD!! Let's say your up against a pokemon that your opponent just sent in with 10 HP left. If you have Charizard and use fire spin to kill it, (ignore this if it's your last prize,) you have dealt 10 damage and have to discard 2 energy! Can you say sh*t? Enough with thrashing the big red guy, let's take a look at his little brother, Charmeleon. Let's say you have Charmeleon in the same situation. Instead of using flamethrower, use slash. You only waste 20 damage, and you discard nothing. MUCH better. With this in mind, let me say the biggest rule about fire. FIRE POKEMON MUST HAVE A GOOD NON-DISCARDING ATTACK!!!!!! Now let's take a look at two other notorious big fire dudes. Ninetales and Arcanine. Both of these guys have discarding attacks, and another attack so let's look at them. Arcanine's Take Down is kind of lame vs. weak Pokemon. Flamethrower is kind of low cost, same as Charmeleon's, but it doesn't have the non-discarding backup. This guy doesn't really cut it. Ninetales, at first glance, may look no better than Charizard, since he has no non-discarding damage attacks. However, Ninetales is the exception to this rule. Lure can help with getting around the weaklings and dealing some heavy damage to healthy Pokemon. So is fire the worst type? Heck no! The worst to start playing with? Heck yes! As and end note, for the Charizard lovers that read this note. I have a friend that plays a mono-fire without Charizard that kicks arse. With the other energy hogs in fire, Charizard just takes too much energy. K. Sharp ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
