Dear CubsFanNl, and the Pojo Hi there. Ive gotten lots and lots of email about my disapproval of people who can't develop more than one deck archetype that they've read out of a magazine. I wanted to clear a few things up. >listen, nobody's forcing YOU to make a raindance deck and use it in tourney's, so >maybe you should just get smart and metagame it! make an electric/grass deck! Damn straight! Nobody can make me build a deck if I don't wanna, but really --- metagaming? Pshaw. Only the frightened children metagame. > also, the fact the u called people who win tourneys with raindance pathetic is > really idiotic. No, I called the people who build one deck, namely a Raindance, and then walk into tournaments bragging up and down how they are gonna "kick my ass" Pathetic. Also, I call people who WHIIIINNNNNEEEEEEEEE for 20 or 30 m inutes because I won't play them are pathetic. See, I like to play a variety of decks against a variety of decks, and most of the time playing a raindance is just boring. > hey, face it, if it's a successfull deck then people are gonna keep on using it, >and if no one ever metagames it, then they will keep on being used!!! I agree. I simply can't wait until Fossil is releaced in the US. I already have my "Umbrella" deck built. >if u ask me, rain dance decks are just like stall decks and any other one-color >decks. Why don't u go bitch on about I don't understand your problem. My "bitch" was about people who build one type of deck and keep that deck, never developing another one simply beacue this one deck of thiers is so frigging wonderful. > So what if water is commonly used? So what if water is a good type with some > great pokemon? there's no reason for u to get so pissed that people are using > them. face it, if water decks keep winning, that must mean they are good, don't u > think? Not particularly. I think that in the first two expansions releaced in the US that water and electric (with all those high HP, very low energy attacks) got the better end of the deal. A lot of the other pokemon from the two sets were mistranslated, and simply put, they suck. Comon, Nidoran Male blows ass, Charmander can be knocked out in 2 hits and let's not discuss thieir evolutions. Charmeleon is a card that costs $40.00. >ok, i'm done. i've got nothin' against you, but i do have somehting against your > ideas about the pokemon tcg **** I ***** personally LOVE the pokemon TCG. If I didn't love it I wouldn't be a DCI sanctioned tournament judge. I wouldn't read the pojo. I woulnd't buy everything with Pkmn strategies in it that I can get my hands on. What you seem to have a problem with is the fact that I have enough balls to even QUESTION a deck archetype! Oh god... it works... someone doesn't like that it works too well, that its an unbalanced deck type only beatable if a person designes a deck specificly to beat it, which then can be beaten VERY EASILY. Mostly what I hate are people who brag up and down about their fabulous raindance decks (or whatever) and CANNOT for the LIFE of them develop a deck that is origional and creative. ~Feel free to flame, I've got the marshmallows ready for smores. ~The Pokemon Lady klvyonne@aol.com
