(Please Post This PoJo! I Worked REAL, REAL Hard on This, Took me 2 Hours!!! Please! Please! I don't want that to have been a waste of time.) Hello loyal PoJo fans- Well, as anyone who hasn't been under a rock for the last month or two knows- Jungle is out. I am telling you this because now there is a whole lot more great, and over/under-rated cards out there. I am going to tell you some GREAT cards from the Jungle set and the original set for any deck. ANY DECK (Colorless)- Farfetch'd- I'd hate to write anything on this over-rated leek-slapping loser, but I guess he's all right. 50HP is OK for a basic, it won't do too good against most Pokemon. Leek Slap is pretty good, but if you are depending on Leek Slap or bust, I wouldn't take a chance. It's OK for a deck, but definately do not base a deck around Farfetch'd. Clefairy/Clefable- Wow. These guys are good. If you look at their HP, like most people do, you'll quickly dismiss these cream puffs. OK, so their HP is not too great, but you can get Clefable pretty easy, since you can get it Non-Holo, Clefairy is a little tougher to find. Clefairy's 3 Energy cost for Metronome is not too good. But Clefable is VERY handy. 1 Energy! 1 Energy! Did I tell you that Metronome is only 1 Energy yet? Charizard- Huh? ANY DECK? Yup. Did anyone forget Energy Burn? There are some bad things about this fire breather, like the fact that he REALLY Burns energy, (Remove 2 fire..) But he's all right. The only thing is, I would ONLY recommend this for a fire deck unless you have a Pokemon Breeder handy. Charmander and Charmeleon don't know Energy Burn- remember? Keep 'em on your bench until you build up to the big guy. Jigglypuff/Wigglytuff- Jigglypuff is a great staller, and good against strong Pokemon. Guaranteed sleep in 1 Energy. Eat your heart out Clefairy. Anyway, Pound's 20 for a double colorless ain't bad either. Wigglytuff is good too. Do The Wave'll do 60 damage if your bench is full. Hey, what else can you say? A dead Charizard or Chansey in 2 moves ain't too shabby. Doduo/Dodrio- I hate Doduo. That's the bottom line. Just evolve him to Dodrio, and put him on your bench. The only reason for this is- His Pokemon Power. Retreat Aid will help with 1 Retreat cost Pokemon. That's good for saving energy for attacking, not retreating. PLANT- Bulbasaur/Ivysaur/Venusaur- Ahh, yes. The classic trio. Venusaur is Exactly like Machamp except for the Pokemon Power. All three have their good points... but Venusaur should know Razor Leaf- Like 2 or 3 Plant energy and it takes away 30 or something. They are good for plant decks. It's up to your opinion of a good Pokemon. Scyther- 70HP, 3 Energy for a pretty good 30(Or, with the AWESOME Swords Dance along the way to the big attack), 60 damage. He would not be on this list but, you can't beat no retreat cost. Build him up on the bench, than bring him out ONLY to attack, than retreat him. Oh, yeah! Vileplume- Ahem. Great Pokemon Power+Petal Dance+A Whole Lotta Luck= One great one-move-KO card. Pinsir- Great attacks, OK HP, He's Basic, Hey, he's alllll-right. Beedrill- He's got good attacks, 80HP, and he is Non-Holo. Not a GREAT Stage 2, but.. he's good if you have my favorite trainer- Pokemon Breeder, on hand. FIRE- (Whew, I'm getting tired) Charmander/Charmeleon/Charizard- The best fire trio there is. Woo Hoo! With great attacks from Ember to Fire Spin. With Charmeleon at 80HP, that makes for an excellent Stage 1. And of course, everyone's favorite fire breather, Charizard. Every fire deck needs these 3. I recommend 4 Charmander, 3 Charmeleons, and 2 Charizards- If you can get 2 :-). But, Charmeleon is not the best Stage 1 Uncommon Pokemon... Arcanine- Just look at the stupid thing for me. LOOK HARDER. 100HP, and Take Down, It'll take away 80 and barely scratch his 100HP surface (Doing 30 to itself). And, hey, he's UNCOMMON! Get 4 Growlithes, and 3 or 4 of these. It will kill ANY plant Pokemon in one move (Add in weakness). Ha Ha! What an awesome card. Ponyta/Rapidash- These are Great cards. Ponyta-- 2 fire energy and you suck 30HP away from the other guy (60 if it's Plant). And one Double Colorless for a 20 move. Not bad for a card as common as Ponyta. And Rapidash, 70HP, Can do up to 30 for a double colorless and does 30 plus a 50% chance of Rapidash not getting hurt for 2 Fire and one Colorless. Good cards. Flareon- Good. 70HP(OK, not too great), and of course Flamethrower that does 60 damage. Yay. Yay. Yay. And only 1 retreat cost. Good if you have a Dodrio on the bench. FIGHTING- Machop/Machoke/Machamp- Machop seems to be the fighting card everyone has. Pretty good move. OK 50HP. Machoke gets even better... and Machamp, The Holo everyone loves to hate, has a 60 move and is 100HP. Pretty good. Get a couple of these. Just don't put them up against Psychic Pokemon or you are in for trouble... Rhyhorn/Rhydon- 'Nuff Said. Hitmonchan- Let's just say this, he barely makes the list. His 2nd move is the only reason he is here. He works well with a Blackout deck. PSYCHIC- Mr. Mime- One of the most controversial cards in the entire game. It's Invisible Wall is great, but save him on the bench until they have a more powerful Pokemon that has no move below 30, and have that Pokemon already damaged, so that Meditate can take full effect. He's good. Real Good. -----God, I'll get so many hate mails for that one.. Alakazam- He has a great Pokemon Power. And his move(s) are not too bad either. Hey, he's a good Stage 2 for a Psychic deck. Jynx- Good for an uncommon Psychic Pokemon. She'll do some damage as a Basic Pokemon. Yup. Keep a few of these handy. Or more than a few, I reccomend 3 or 4 for a Psychic deck. LIGHTNING- Electrode (Basic Set)- His Pokemon Power can be very useful. And a move that takes away 50 ain't too shabby either. A great card for any Lightning deck. The Jungle Electrode sucks. Stay away from that one. Pikachu (Both, Preferably Jungle)/Raichu- Pikachu is a good basic Pokemon. And Raichu, well, he is Great. Agility rocks, and his Powerful 80HP is great. Get some of these. Very good for lightning decks. Jolteon- Great. Not the best of the three Eevee evolutions, but it will fare well in a Lightning deck. Get a few of these. WATER- Vaporeon- He will do good in a water deck, but do not depend on him, he can let you down, but 80HP is the best of the 3 Eevee evolutions. Squirtle/Wartortle/Blastoise- Blastoise is great, and the Withdraw attack is awesome. Use Blastoise's Pokemon Power often. It can come in handy. Some of the best water Pokemon out there. Poliwag/Poliwhirl/Poliwrath- They have the same potential as the Blastoise family, get some of these too. There is some great water Pokemon out there, these are some of them. Gyrados- KEEP MAGIKARP ON THE BENCH! He sucks. Big time. But once you get Gyrados out there, Bubblebeam and Dragon Rage will do the trick. Good Pokemon there. Seel/Dewgong- Look at Dewgong's HP, then Aurora Beam, then the diamond that signifies Uncommon. Then STUFF your deck with 4 Seel and 4 Dewgong. Enough said. WELL, IF THAT WAS NOT ENOUGH, HERE COMES THE TRAINERS... Bill- Always good to have. Draw 2 cards. Sweet. Professor Oak- Can REALLY get you out of a jam. Pokemon Breeder- Ha Ha! Skip the Stage 1 Evolution. Cool. Poke' Ball- If you are lucky with coin flips, it can be really useful. Energy Removal/Super Energy Removal- Get your opponent REALLY mad. Ha Ha!
