Dear Pojo, This is an article written for the reason that: ever since I started critiquing decks and giving advice, there has been an enormous amount of players who clutter their decks with every card they own. In my "tyler's quick take" section, you can see what I mean. There are a large amount of decks that have ONE of about 29 different pokemon, a couple of trainers and a good amount of energy. These decks are just not using common sense that applies to these types of games: CCGS. The underlining rule in making a deck, for pretty much any CCG, is that the MORe of one card you place into the deck, the MORE likely it is to get to that card in one game... Sure it sounds silly, but most players, when making a deck, look over this simply concept. If you place ONE Chansey in your deck, there is a possibility you could go through an ENTIRE tourny w/o seeing the White poof ball thingy... SO, if you want the pokemon to be effective in your deck, you have to get the ammount in there, that maximizes his/her abilities. Putting ONE Hitmonchan in a deck will do VERY little, but one Kanguskhan, would be smart. Look at the cards that help you win the most, and get MORE of them in. I've seen decks with ONE electrabuzzes and 4 pikachu regulars.... there is no consistancy to decks such as that. THATS THE KEY: More of one card creates CONSISTANCY, so your deck will CONSISTANTLY win... NOW! im NOT saying get 4 of EVERY card into your deck...just be reasonable...if you have only one copy of each card in your deck, you are REALLY putting your game under control of luck...And only a few Lucky Freak players can get away with that. If you narrow your decks down to themes, or basic ideas, it becomes much clearer on the number of each card to get into your decks. If you use common sense, there shouldn't be any problems.:) thanx for your time TYLER G. tylergrund@hotmail.com _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web.
