The Sucessful Strategies, by Pokeman Having been a judge for a couple of unsanctioned tournaments, I see a lot of good strategists gone to waste with bad cards. I feel like talking about the strategies and the cards to use with them. The Headlong Strategy: Good with Fighting or Fire decks, but no other colors have the firepower to do this. Depends on a strong attacker and a lot of healing and energy. Good trainers include: Potions, Super Potions, Full Heals, Poke Centers, Poke Breeders, and Energy Removal and Retrieval. Suggested Pokemon: Charizard series, Arcanine series, Nintales series, Hitmonchan, Machamp series, Dugtrio series, and Magneton series. The Sneaky Strategy: Good with Grass and Psychic. Depends on shifting, Confusing, putting to Sleep, Poisoning, Paralyzing, or otherwise incapcitating opponents, then finishing them off. Mixing with fighting can be deadly to opponents. Good trainers: Full Heals, Potions, Energy Removals, the rocket card Sleep! Sleep!, Gusts, and Switches. Good Pokemon: the Weezing family, Tangela, the Venomoth family, the Beedrill family, the Parasect family, the Nidoking family (for attack), the Exeggutor family, and the Wigglytuff family. The General Strategy: Very bad. Mixes different Pokemon in a hope of versatility. Usually ends up with weak Pokemon with a chance to Confuse that gets killed immediately. I wash my hands of this strategy. It is really bad. The Blitz Strategy: Get 'em out and get 'em out fast. Use Electric or Fighting Pokemon with low costs to achieve maximum speed. Good trainers: Bill, Energy Removal/Retrieval, Professor Oak, and Full Heals. Good Pokemon: Hitmonchan, Electrabuzz, Zapdos, the Magneton family, and the Raichu family (both Pikachus are good.). I hope you have found this helpful. f you really have trouble, respond to this. Contact Pokeman at magimaster_23@hotmail.com. I run a Pokemon counseling site from there. Thanks for reading.
